Registrering och programstart/kursstart
Programmet/kursen startar med registrering och introduktion, se schemat på kurshemsidan
under http://www.emg.umu.se/utbildning/kurser / . Har du inte möjlighet att närvara vid
introduktionen måste du anmäla det i förväg till studievägledaren, programansvarig,
kursansvarig, annars förlorar du din studieplats.
System och IT-tjänster för studenter
Som student vid Umeå universitet får du tillgång till ett antal system och IT-tjänster. Ett
system är Portalen där du bl. a. hittar student-e-posten och får tillgång till registreringar och
resultat för dina kurser. Ett annat system är lärplattformen Cambro som används under flera
av kurserna i programmet för att bl. a. dela ut kursmaterial och lämna in arbetsuppgifter.

För att få tillgång till tjänsterna som ny student ska du aktivera ditt användarkonto. Under
vecka 33-35 skickas uppgifter om tillfällig identitet från Umeå universitet, antingen i ett brev
till din folkbokföringsadress eller på annat sätt. Den kan du använda för att aktivera ditt
användarkonto. En annan möjlighet är att aktivera kontot genom ditt studera.nu-konto.
Båda sätten att aktivera ditt användarkonto når du via länken ”Aktivera användarkontot” på
www.student.umu.se/aktivering.
När du aktiverat kontot når du Portalen eller Cambro via högerlänkarna på studentwebben,
www.student.umu.se.
Du som har läst vid Umeå universitet tidigare har redan ett användarkonto och behöver
inte aktivera det igen (och får inte heller någon tillfällig identitet skickad till dig) utan kan nå
våra system via länkarna till höger på www.student.umu.se. Har du glömt ditt lösenord eller
vill byta gör du det via länken ”Glömt lösenordet?” intill inloggningslänkarna.
Om du får problem med att logga in i Portalen eller stöter på tekniska fel, skicka ett
meddelande (ärende) till www.servicedesk.its.umu.se.

Umu-kortet är ett flerfunktionskort som ersätter många av de kort som anställda och
studenter idag får på universitetet. För närvarande har kortet funktionerna:Passerkort;
Lånekort för Universitetsbiblioteket, Forskningsarkivet, Medicinska biblioteket, samt UB
Konstnärligt campus, och kopierings- och utskriftskort, med ett kontantlöst betalningssystem
för studenter.
Hur får jag UmU-kortet? Du får ett e-postmeddelande om hur du ska ansöka om UmUkortet. Du som är ny som student vid Umeå universitet måste först aktivera ditt
användarkonto för att kunna skaffa UmU-kortet.
E-postmeddelandet skickats till din student-e-postadress ([email protected]) som du når
genom att logga in till höger på www.student.umu.se (eller på fliken E-post i Portalen). Om
du har aktiverat vidarebefordran från din student-e-post till en annan adress så ska
meddelandet finnas där. Hittar du inte meddelandet i inboxen för något av dessa epostkonton, så titta även i skräp- eller spam-mappen. Kan du ändå inte se att du fått
meddelandet, så vänd dig till Infocenter för hjälp.
I e-postmeddelandet finns utförlig information och länken till kontot där du bland annat ska
ladda upp ett foto av dig själv. Fotot ska finnas på kortet av säkerhetsskäl.
Var hämtar jag mitt UmU-kort?
Det tryckta kortet hämtar du i Infocenter som har öppet vardagar kl. 8.00-16.30. Generellt
tar det 1-2 dagar från det att du beställt ditt kort till att du kan hämta det, vid hög
arbetsbelastning kan det ta längre tid.

Registration and course start
The course start with registration and introduction, see the schedule on the webpage for the
course at: http://www.emg.umu.se/english/education/courses/. If you cannot attend at the
Introduction you have to inform the course organizer in advance, otherwise you will lose
your student position.
System and Internet service for students
As a student at the Umeå University you have access to a number systems and intrenet
services. One system is Portalen where you find for example student e-mail, and get access
to registrations and results from your courses that you have attended. Another system is the
learning platform Cambro which is used for many courses to e.g. distribute course material
and for hand in practices. More information about these systems is available at:

To get access to the above mentioned services as a new student you have to activate your
user account. Your temporary identity at the Umeå University should be delivered to your
home address. This identity can be used in order to activate your user account. Another
possibility is to activate the account via your studera.nu-konto (studera.nu-account). You can
reach both ways to activate your user account via the link “Activate your student account”
(In Swedish: Aktivera användarkontot) at www.student.umu.se/activate. When you have
activated your account you will have access to Portalen or Cambro through the right links at
the student web, www.student.umu.se/english.

If you have taken a course earlier at Umeå University you already have a user account and
do not need to activate it again (and you do not get a new identity delivered to your home
address by mail) and you can reach our systems via the links to the right at
www.student.umu.se.
If you have forgot your password or want to change it, this is done via the link”Forgot my
password” close to the in logging links. If you have problems to log in to Portalen or have
technical problems, send a message to www.servicedesk.its.umu.se
UmU-card (information available on the following link:

The Umu-card is a multifunction card which replaces many of the cards employees and
students currently receive at the university. Currently the card has the following functions:
Access card (not for NUS premises), Borrowing card for University library, and Copying and
printing card, with internal invoicing for employees and a cashless payment system for
students.
How can I get the UmU card? The UmU card will be introduced in 2014. Current students
and employees receive an e-mail about how to apply for the UmU card, when it is time for
you to get the card. As a new student at Umeå University, you need to activate your user
account before you can get the UmU card.
The e-mail message has now been sent out to all students. If you haven´t already ordered
and picked up you UmU card, please do so as soon as possible. Pick up your printed card in
Infocenter.
The message has been sent to your student e-mail account ([email protected]), which
you can access by signing in to the right on the page www.student.umu.se/english (or at the
tab E-post in Portalen). If you have enabled forwarding from your student e-mail to another
e-mail account, you should find the message there. If you can´t find the message in the inbox
in either account, please check the spam folder in both accounts. If you still can´t find the
message, please turn to Infocenter for help.
The e-mail will contain detailed information and a link to the account where you should,
among other things, upload your photo. The photo is needed for security.
It is important that you read through the information carefully, partly because you will sign
the contingent liability and partly because you may have to pay SEK 50 for reprinting of the
card if your photo is not approved.
Students and employees who are admitted or employed from the start of the autumn term
will automatically get the UmU card in an equivalent manner.
