Place, date and time Litteraturhuset – Zinken Hopp, Thursday 3rd of September 2015, 1900 – 2100 Werner NÜCHTERLEIN is a Graduate Economist of Kiel University and currently Managing Director of P&N Consult AB, a newly founded Consultancy Company offering international services in transport and new energies (rail, road, and ferry). With more than 22 years in the business he is experienced from both the operator and the Transport Authority sides, as well as in cooperation with public institutions such as ministries, EU, UITP, universities and research institutes. Dr. Nils-Olof NYLUND has a Doctor of Technology degree in mechanical engineering (internal combustion engines) from Helsinki University of Technology. His current work position is Research Professor for Energy Use in Transport and Engine Technology at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. Nylund is manager of the Finnish research programme TransSmart on smart and sustainable mobility. He has been working with alternative energies in transport since 1979, and has been the Finnish delegate to IEA Advanced Motor Fuels (AMF) since 1990. Dr. Mikko PIHLATIE is Research Team Leader, Vehicles and Electric Powertrains at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. He is certified project manager and coordinator of the national R&D network Electric Commercial Vehicles (ECV). He holds D.Sc (Tech) from Aalto University and has worked with electrochemical energy conversion and storage technologies for both stationary and mobile applications since 2006. Dr. Pihlatie is also active in electric vehicles research including charging and operation concepts for commercial electric vehicles and mobile machinery as well as techno-economic total cost of ownership evaluations of their systemic viability.
