Plastic technology is a relatively new material technology. It has only been known
for a few decades, and the development

Until a few years ago, the manufacture
of bins was only possible with fossil
fuel-based raw materials. An increasing awareness of the sustainable use
of resources resulted in an investment
in the research of biological plastics. Sugar cane was found to be an ideal source of ethanol. This replaces crude oil as
the base material and is processed into
HDPE.
Not every type of HDPE is suitable for
the manufacture of refuse bins. Extensive development processes and material
tests were required to find the ideal biologically-based material. The GreenMade
HDPE type selected by SULO has exactly

fuel-based HDPE. The bins made of this
material, which are ready for series production, were subjected to the strict testing procedures of RAL GZ 951 and EN
840. No deviations in quality were ascertained when compared to petroleum-based bins.

In the early 1980’s, SULO developed the 4-wheeled MGB product line. Compared to the 2-wheeled MGBs, this large product line
is quite a bit more complex. There are three bin sizes available: 660, 770 and 1,100 litres. While the first two smaller models
can easily pass through a conventional door, the 1,100 litre bin is perfectly designed for the really big tasks, with a maximum
filling weight of 440 kg.
Along with two lid variations, the flat lid and the domed lid for the 1,100 litre containers, the bin can be configured optimally for
any application thanks to the comprehensive accessory program. All 4-wheeled bins in the SULO product range have extraordinary stability, thanks to their intelligent design, and are optimally suited for use worldwide.
