The game of cricket was originated in
South-East England in the late 16th
century. It became the country's national
sport in 18th century.
FIRST INTERNATIONAL MATCH
No, it did not involve Australia or England. You'll be
surprised to know that the first ever International
Cricket Match was played between USA & Canada in
1844 at the St. George's Cricket Club in Newy York.
FIRST EVER WORLD CUP
The first ever International Cricket world
Cup tournament was played in 1975 in
England. West Indies won the
tournament.by defeating Australia in the
finals.
FORMATS OF THE GAME
Test Cricket & Limited Overs cricket. Test
cricket lasts for 5 days and is played with
the red ball. Limited overs cricket is either
of 20 overs or 50 overs, termed as T20
cricket & One Day Cricket.

The top 10 Cricket Teams under the ICC
are - India, England, Australia, New Zealand,
South Africa, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, West
indies, Bangladesh & Afghanistan
NEXT WORLD CUP
The next edition of ICC World Cup will be
played in 2023, which is set to be hosted
by India. England will go into this
tournament as the defending champions.
