Junior High Challenge Program
Enrollment Process for 2014-2015
Junior high students can enroll in Challenge English, Science, Social Studies, and Math Pathway I
and II courses through the Informed Self-Select process.
The Secondary Instructional Support office will mail an individual student assessment summary to
current 6th grade parents in March. This report will assist students and parents in making the
important decisions about course selections for a student’s 7th grade year.

Pathway II course for 7th
graders.
7th Grade Challenge Math is
the first course in a two-year
sequence that compresses the
7th, 8th, and Algebra 1 Common
Core State Standards in
Mathematics. This class
prepares students for 8th
grade Algebra.
Informed Self-Select
Enrollment Process

graders in mid-March.
