& Other Services
The new online prescription ordering service is much faster and
easier to use, - which simply requires you to tick boxes for making a
prescription request. Please note that this facility is for REGULAR
REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS ONLY.
Online appointments will be available to book between 3 and 20
days in advance. If you need a book on the day or an emergency
appointment, you will still have to call the surgery on the day.
We have been trialling this new online service in the surgery for the
past few weeks, and it is very important that the details that you
upload are exactly the same as detailed in the completed Patient
Access form provided by the Reception staff.
If you order on-line the days for collecting your prescription are as
follows:

Please note that only URGENT Prescription Requests will be taken

STATEMENTS OF INTENT
Patient access to their GP record
From April 2015 GP practices have been required to promote and
offer the facility for patients to view online, export or print any
summary information from their records i.e. medications, allergies,
adverse reactions and any additional information agreed between
the GP and patient.
Summary Care Record
GP practices are required to provide an automated upload of any
changes to a patient's summary information, at least once every
working day, to the Summary Care Record (SCR).
The requirement is on the basis of the current definition of the SCR,
i.e. the core SCR record contains medications, allergies and
adverse reactions and uploaded on the basis of implied patient
consent.
The SCR should only be viewed in emergency or urgent care
settings with the explicit consent of the patient unless the patient is
unable to give their consent (for example if they are unconscious).
GP2GP record transfers
There is a contractual requirement to utilise the GP2GP facility for
the transfer of patient records between practices, when a patient
registers or de-registers (not for temporary registration).
