Teulada-Pas
Stan Oldfield & Karen / Clive White
1. Walk to the Teulada end of the car park and cross the access road and follow the pedestrian /
cycle path under the railway to the roundabout beyond.
2. Walking anticlockwise around the roundabout, cross the small side road to the right and then
cross the road to Benimarco. Turn left and walk towards Av de Mediterráneo (main dual
carriageway) / fountain roundabout. At the RODAFOC shop turn right into parking area.
The walk really begins here.
3. Walk past the L’Almacera restaurant towards the walker’s Font l’Horta path (ignore the slip
road to the right and the road to the left). Notice an information board with details of the path.
4. This path, newly opened in May 2010, follows the barranc on your right with vineyards on your
left all the way to the Font. There were goats and sheep in the vineyards when we walked it.
5. As you approach the Font, you will see a road ahead to your left running down the left hand side
of the font area going in the same general direction that you have been walking. That is your
onward route. [Ignore the road to the right and the road to your sharp left.]
6. Go down to the font. After looking at the font, walk (left) up to the seating area and out to the
road beyond. Turn right down this road. It is fairly straight, with one kink halfway along.
7. Further on, when the road bends to the left, there is a wide path to the right, just before a house.
Take this path. [If you miss this path and go up a steep hill to reach a T-junction with a wide
road, then turn around, go back down the hill and look for the path again, on your left now.]
8. This is a wide country dirt/gravel road (unmarked but actually called Cami Boticari) that also
runs fairly straight. About halfway down it becomes tarmac. At the end, it meets a road at a Tjunction. To your right you can see the main Benimarco road and some large stables(?) beyond.
However, you should turn left onto the unmarked Cami del Puerto del Moro.
9. Follow this road up the hill to a roundabout (intersection with Cami de San Miguel). Go straight
across the roundabout into Cami de Assagador de la Torre. The views are great here.
10. After about 340m, the tarmac road curves right (in the form of Cami de los Ollers) and a rough
path descends to the left. You have a choice here.
Choice 1 Los Ollers (all tarmac).
11. Take the right fork, the tarmac road of Cami de los Ollers.
12. The road meanders gently to start with as it descends the hill. Ignore all turnings left and right.
13. There are some sharper bends later on and great views. Near the end of this road it starts to rise
slightly and soon you will reach a T-junction with another unmarked road (could be called Calle
de Benimarfull or Benitorafe). Turn left here.

14. Follow the road around a right bend and then sharp turn left (ignore rough path straight ahead).
The road descend to cross a barranc. Immediately the road starts to climb up a very steep hill,
which seamlessly becomes Camino de Pas. Go to step 21.
Choice 2 Assagador d/l Torre (shorter but rough roads and paths).
15. Turn left off the tarmac road [thereby staying on Cami de Assagador de la Torre!] as it
descends and becomes a narrower gravel road.
16. Ignore the turnings left and right and continue as you approach some trees and a slightly
elevated open area. Ignore the raised area and take the rough road/path to the far right.
17. This descends for a while until you reach another set of trees. The “road” turns sharp left, but
you should take the steeply descending concrete road to the right.
18. This concrete road ends quickly. Again, a wide rough road goes left, but you should look for a
very narrow gulley to the right. Take the gulley; it is steep and narrow but very short. At the
bottom, is a casita, to your left. Turn right and follow the gravel road down the hill.
19. At the bottom is a T-junction with another wide gravel road. Turn left and follow the “road”
uphill, past a house above you on the left. {This “road” is the start of the road Camino de Pas
(aka Cami de Pas) which goes all the way back to Teulada}.
20. Follow Camino de Pas as it curves to the left past some other buildings and becomes tarmac
before it joins another much wider road. Turn left and continue up this steep hill.
Both Choices.
21. Follow Camino de Pas up the steep hill. Take it slowly. At the top are views in all directions
and you can see Teulada, Benitachell and Moraira, as well as much more.
22. Camino de Pas then descends steeply to cross a barranc. The road then climbs another even
steeper hill, passing a small road (Sisca, but unmarked) on the right. This hill is very steep as
first then less steep, but it is a long climb. Take it slowly.
23. Nearing the top of the hill it becomes almost level. You will pass Cami de Churra (aka Xurro)
on your left shortly before reaching a crossroad with Camino de San Miguel. At the crossroad
you can see some sort of pyramid-shaped memorial on the opposite side.
24. You now have another choice.
Return directly to the car park.
25. Go straight across, and follow Camino de Pas back towards the fountain roundabout. Ignore the
turning to the right Camino de la Font de l’Horta.
26. Near the bottom, you can either take a small road on the left to gain access to the restaurant car
park, or you can go straight on to reach the bottom of Av de Mediterráneo.
Into town for a drink.
27. At the pyramid, turn right into Cami de San Miguel. The road rises very slightly as it curves to
the left and soon you will reach a small roundabout.
28. Go straight across the small roundabout and the road descend to Av de Mediterráneo.
29. Go to your favourite cafe/bar.
In both cases
30. At the bottom end of Av de Mediterráneo, at the fountain roundabout, return to your car via the
same route as you used at the beginning of the walk (via the paths through the park area under
the railway).
