LEARNING OUTCOMES

The learner should be able to:
 Understand what the bed bathing procedure is
 Describe different bath equipment that is used during the procedure
 Demonstrate the procedure for bed bathing
 Appropriately get rid of used material to avoid cross infection
INSTRUCTIONS AND INFORMATION
1.
The task must be done individually.
2.
Learners must take TWO weeks to practice on their own before they do the
task in class.
3.
The demonstration will be done in the classroom for 20 minutes per learner
on the THIRD week and will be assessed on their performance.
4.
Learners will be given marks according to the checklist provided.

QUESTION 1
As a home-based caregiver you visited a family. On arrival you find that they are
struggling to bath an old bedridden patient. As a home-based caregiver you
demonstrated the procedure of bed bath to the family.
Demonstrate the bed bath procedure following the headings below:
