Hi Parents, Teachers, and Friends of Area 22 Special Olympics,
We have lots of activities for both our Young Athletes and our Special Olympic Athletes
during the next two months and we need your help to make it all work. Please pass these
dates and times on to anyone that might qualify for our programs.
Dec. 4 is the next Young Athlete activity night at Mackinaw High School from 6:00-7:00 all
those with disabilities ages 2-7, are invited to participate.
Dec. 17: free physicals at Millet for anyone turning 8 by April 17 or older that needs a
physical. Times: 1:00-3:15. Call to register if not a Millet Student: 989 860-1756.
Jan. 8: Apple Mountain Winter Training. Free instruction in downhill skiing, and snowshoe
for any athlete with a physical. Equipment and coaches provided. 4:30-6:30 P.M.
Jan. 8: Young Athlete activity at Apple Mountain from 6:00-7:00. Fun in the snow!
Jan. 14: free physicals at the Transitions Center for anyone turning 8 by April 17 or older
that needs a physical. Times: 9:00-noon. Call to register if not a Transitions Student: 989
860-1756.
Jan. 15: Apple Mountain Winter Training. Free instruction in downhill skiing, and

P.M.
Jan 16: Applications/Entries/Physicals for Winter Games Due to Carol.

Jan 22: Young Athlete activity at Apple Mountain from 6:00-7:00. Fun in the snow!
Jan 29: Winter Games at Apple Mountain 10:00-2:00. Parents and friends are invited to
watch.
Feb. 21 Polar Plunge at Haithco County Park. Take the plunge or support someone who
will plunge and raise money for Special Olympics.
