SCI – Spatial Compound Imaging…
in the Mindray systems, this is known as i-Beam.
Spatial compound imaging is a method in which sonographic
information is obtained from several different angles of insonation
and combined to produce a single image. This technique is unlike
conventional Real Time sonography, in which each image is
obtained from a single angle of insonation. By averaging images
from multiple angles of insonation, spatial compound imaging will
reduce many image artifacts inherent in conventional ultrasound
imaging.

Quad Beamformer Image Processing




Quad receive beamforming, is a method of beamforming where
the sonographic system receives multiple beams from a
single transmitted pulse.
In Quad receive beamforming, a broad transmit beam is
transmitted, and multiple receive beams are formed within the
bounds of the transmit beam.
Quad receive beamforming is used to increase frame rate and image
quality and helps form better border definition.
This is useful when imaging deep within tissue, or
with real-time 3D/4D sonography.
