RHD Competition modified Located in the UK Plate # BOX 793 SN 17751 This is one of the earliest Boxers made and was built for a VIP motoring connoisseur par excellence: HRH King Hussein of Jordan. Along with the Shah of Iran, King Hussein was one of the great patrons of European luxury car manufacturers of the era and most were keen to ensure he received one of the first examples of any important new model. His Royal Highness chose a shade of light red fashionable in the period for his new Boxer’s coachwork, Rosso Dino, combined with an unusual combination of beige cloth and black leather for the interior which was only available on very early examples. Factory records show the car was sold directly to the King and was flown to the Royal Palace in Amman from Venice’s Marco Polo Airport in April 1974, having been completed at Maranello the preceding month. How long the King retained his shiny new supercar is not known, but he cannot have covered much distance with it: 30 years after delivery the odometer reads just 6,152km, making it perhaps the lowest mileage example remaining. In German ownership since 1993, the car is described as in ‚Condition 1’ and is offered complete with owners handbook, service book, spare parts catalogue, sales and service agents booklet, tool kit and current German registration papers. Local taxes will be liable if the car remains in Switzerland. If you have ever thought about owning a Ferrari Boxer but have never found the right car, we recommend the closest inspection of this ‚time warp’ example: it has all the right ingredients. There is a letter on file from Lorenzini Autosports, who serviced and looked after the car virtually from new, and they confirm this car to be a very low mileage example and certainly the present private owner and vendor is convinced that the mileage of 5500 miles is correct from new. During his ownership it has completed a mere 1500 miles and it has wanted for nothing and has been regularly serviced every two years by the excellent Ferrari specialist company, Specialised Cars of Knutsford. S/N 17913 would have been gone from his ownership by 1975, certainly long before 1980. So 17913 is a candidate for his second Boxer Currently believed to be located in Japan SN 17915 1993, October, in the Australian Ferrari Register with Yvonne Lexcen. 2001, June, on Carl Jones' list of Ferraris in Australia. I have had it for many years and it came to Sweden from England. I bought it because it was a very good car. During my ownership a lot of service and improvements have been done to resist ageing and to secure reliable and good performance. Thus, as examples, ignition cables have been changed as well as ignition coil and electronic control box which sometimes get unreliable after many years. Camshafts, valve shims, cam belts, distributor weights has been checked and adjusted when necessary. Clutch plate is new as well as some other parts, but no repair is done on the engine as compression, oil pressure and so on is perfect. CARBURETORS are kept clean, all metal fuel hoses have been renewed as well as all the rubber hoses and clips in the cooling system. The water radiator has been cleaned, pressure tested and reinstalled as also the ac-cooler. Brake fluid is regularly changed as my race mechanic insists on this safety to protect the brakes from corrosion. The car runs on Quaker State racing oil and Bosch full platina spark plugs, which is the best for this type of car. Chassis and body are perfect. No accidents. To summarize, everything has been done to keep the car in fresh condition, contrary to many Ferraris that are just stored. The car has the later introduced wider rim combination 7,5 inch front and 9 inch rear and runs on 235/15/60 front and 255/15/60 rear Goodrich Comp T/A tyres. Looks better than the standard Michelins. The exhaust system has been renewed with an Ansa Sports system. The car is ready to go and comes with a made-tomeasure white dust cover with Ferrari emblem. For the person that appreciates the 365 BB as the most powerful, lightest and quickest Boxers that were built, this one is a excellent choice. SN 18011 2006 for sale in Cannes 92.000 km One is a 1974 example, with a magnificent red paintwork (with black lower sides) and restored tan leather ; excellent maintenance by a careful collector owner). It is also all original, except upholstery perfectly redone & in excellent shape ; maintenance work done a few thousands of km ago on heads (valves, etc), and one month ago, cambelt change + gearbox revision, clutch bearings, etc, partly reflected in invoices ; the car has a SS exhaust, battery is new, tires almost new. The owner before the current one had the car for 20 years, for healthy road/highway use essentially. It drives perfectly. AC system was removed for weight reasons, but is available. Minor instability of the oil pressure gauge to be checked. This car is finished in red with inside in leather tan. Excellent presentation is excellent, restored perfectly and with Daytona seats. Asking price 82.000 Euros. SN 18019 2006 for sale in Cannes Red with lower parts in black / black leather upholstery, 79,000 km is very original and authentic, Pozzi origin, with the rare triple exhaust and original front spoiler, with some traces of its past on the paintwork and very nice patina on the Daytona-style seats. It is in very good original condition. One owner for last 27 years. We believe that it is entirely original. However, the car may have initially been yellow. Two tires are new, and brakes have been redone recently (no invoice). Based on our experience this car seems very well maintained ; belts have been done 5 000 km ago, according to the previous owner ; this work took place about four years ago. As said the car was used regularly but scarcely, as often with collectors Asking price 71.000 Euros. SN 18025 LHD, Currently Silver boxer trim with black interior. It was silver with black skirt and black leather. It was then (less than a year old) sold to the late Roy Allen Gibson of Chawston, Bedfordshire. He paid £11,500 for it and it was registered RAG7. It was pictured in one of the books, I think it was Nathan Beehl's Boxer book. The picture was taken in the paddock at Donnington. August 1986. Offered for sale to me by Gibson. He needed something easier to drive as he was by now quite old and I later sold him a Testarossa. November/December 1986, sold by me to an investment consortium for £24,000. The car was reregistered AVS220N. Had 65,000 miles. It was then sold to one Kevin Kennedy who was a Triumph TR restorer. He had it restored (think 1988) by Terry Hoyle. At this time it became red with magnolia interior including dash and steering wheel - it was quite horrible. Later sold to Ray Gill. He bought plate BOX365 and put it on the car. 1992. Sold new by Pozzi, in Paris, and still French registered, it comes with an important file of maintenance invoices. It has been repainted but is in otherwise exemplary original condition including the leather interior. A recent independent inspection describes all functions as normal, the paint asnew and the car as a quality combination of presentation and function. The 365 GT4 Berlinetta Boxer represents a very special evolution for Ferrari: the change from front- to mid-engined 12-cylinder GTs. It is the precursor to limited production supercars like the F40, F50 and Enzo. Advocates of front- engined Ferrari V12 GTs have overlooked its qualities. Enthusiasts for more recent "latest and greatest" limited production Ferraris have overlooked its importance. The 365 GT4 Berlinetta Boxer is a seminal automobile and this is a carefully maintained, largely original example. Mr Van Damme used this car till 1986 and had driven about 50.000km, at which point he sold it to Mr Van Rhijn of Utrecht in the Netherlands who added it to his impressive collection of supercars. Mr Van Rhijn has decided to part with this car to make place for his new Pagani Zonda. Servicing: The car was always serviced at Garage Francorchamps in Brussels when in Belgium, and at Kroymans when in the Netherlands. It will be delivered with new cambelts, complete fine tuning of the engine and carbs as well as new exhaust joints. The car comes with its original service book. Condition: It is an accident free car which was taken extremely well taken car of and is in stunning entirely original condition, including original paintwork. There is no rust or oxydation to be found, neither on the bodywork nor on the chassis. Based on pictures I have seen, with the exception of 512 BB style rear view mirrors, the car appears to be completely original. It is believed to have been sold sold by Maranello Concessionaires, on 10 th December 1975 to Mr John MacDonald of Haslingden, Rossendale, Lancs., and registered KVE 826P,a Cambridgeshire registration number (this would appear to be the three hundred and seventy second of the three hundred and eighty seven cars built, or the fifteenth from last car built) The then (October 1975) list price was £16, 380.00 plus delivery, number plates and road tax. Purchased by J.F. Ward of Henley on Thames on the 12 th October 1987.It was during Mr Wards ownership that the car was re-trimmed by Mike Presgrave of Moto-Trim, totally stripped and repainted and much mechanical detailing to the engine, suspension, brakes etc .It has to be remembered that prices peeked in late 1989 when 365 BB's were being offered for sale at dealerships such as Modena Engineering for £225,000, hence owners were prepared to spend large sums on bettering their cars. It was purchased by the penultimate owner Mr Fraser Mills of Edinburgh , in September 1991. The current owner Mr David McCarthy of Surrey purchased from the car in 1995 from Longstone Motor Company of Edinburgh (who acted on behalf of Mr Mills) part-exchanging a Porsche 928 GT-which he has since bought back! Whilst in Mr McCarthy's ownership, the car has been annually maintained by Maranello and in recent years, Graypaul. The most recent service was carried out in July 2003 by Graypaul. New cam-belts were fitted in November 2003 by Talacrest, Graypaul carried out the last annual service in September 2004. In June 1998, the car featured on the front cover and extensively in Classic & Sports car in an article written by Steve Cropley. The car also featured on the front cover and an article in Auto Italia magazine, for the February 2003 edition. Some 2,500-or-so miles have been covered since 1997, making the total to date a mere 17,608. The car has been carefully maintained from new and there is good accompanying service history, including assorted MoTs dating back to 1988. The last full annual service was in 2002, when the cam-belts were changed. Finished in nero with matching black leather interior, its original colour combination, the car is presented in 'perfect' condition in every department. It is offered with the appealing '365 ANP' registration mark, sundry invoices, current road fund licence, MoT to May 2003 and Swansea V5. My car is a 365BB in original black with satin black lower half and black leather, carpets and dash. This car is the last RHD 365BB manufactured, with one more LHD car being made after mine. It has many 512BB features such as the later gearbox. I bought my car in April 2004 with 18,000 miles and it has now covered 20,000 miles. I fitted a Tubi exhaust when I blew a hole in the original one on a fast motorway run - the original was no longer available and I bought, reputedly, the last 365BB Tubi to be made, complete with six rear pipes. Apart from this and the radio the car is original. Currently registered on plate number 365 BOX. SN 19445 LHD Originally delivered in Italy Last 365GT4 BB
