your vote for issue 2, who would you like to hear from?
In our first issue Carole Spamer the Health Care Assistant (HCA) writes the following:Hi my name is Carole and I am the Senior HCA at the practice. My role is to assist the doctors and
the nursing team in patient care; for example Blood pressures, blood tests, Asthma Reviews, ecg’s
and well person checks. I have been with the practice now for over twenty years and have had
experience as a Receptionist, Secretarial roles, Information assistant and then onto the Health Care
Assistant, which I must say has been my favourite. I love the contact with the patients and really
enjoy my work. No day is ever the same and the hours fly by. A new role I have started is to assist Dr
Al-Saad with the Minor surgery Clinic on a Tuesday; I assist with minor operations such as Skin
tags/warts/verrucae/cysts and the contraceptive implant. I am finding this very interesting.
Well enough from me for now, I have patients waiting.
See you soon, Carole S
