March and April have historically been two
of the busier months of the year and Spring
2014 will continue that tradition. Besides
the usual daily game, we hold our Couples,
Men’s, and Women’s Club Championship’s in
the next several weeks. We also have on tap
the Annual Irish Open will be on the 15th, the Mixed Member
Guest on March 21-22!, and Women’s Spring Member Guest
on March 25th!
One of the best Fridays of the year has become The Golf-A-Rama
on the Practice Range Tee! It’s always nice to see the membership come out for a few swings and a few drinks, too. We really
get excited to see everyone. The advancement in shaft technology is improving rapidly, and the combination of a higher
launch with lower spin of the ball, has finally been engineered
to fit you and me, not just the tour player. So my tip is “ Try a
few shafts before you decide what’s best for you.” Today you can
find the ideal driver for your swing!
April will be the last month before we close the East 9 for renovations this summer, so get your swings in now! The preliminary plan is to close the East on April 28th. We want to thank
everyone for their continued support of the Golf program.
- Greg Lecker
