So Cool, We Had To Tell You More!
Center for Houston’s Future: A regional think tank, the Center for
Houston’s Future, is an independent non-profit organization bringing together
business and other communities to advance the Houston region as one of the
top ten global communities in which to live and work. The center’s mission is
to work to solve the Houston region’s toughest problems by engaging diverse
leaders, providing impactful research, and defining actionable strategies. The
Center was founded in 1992 as a nonprofit research organization of the Greater
Houston Partnership and was redeveloped as an independent affiliate of the
Partnership in 2000.

Asia Society Texas Center: Houstonians, led by former First Lady Barbara
Bush and former ambassador Roy M. Huffington, established Asia Society
Texas Center in 1979 in recognition of the need to educate Americans about
Asia and to forge closer ties between Houston and the peoples and institutions
of Asia. Completed in 2011, the award-winning Yoshio Taniguchi-designed
building is located in Houston’s Museum District. Today, with 11 centers across
the globe, Asia Society is the leading educational organization dedicated
to promoting mutual understanding and strengthening partnerships among
the peoples, leaders, and institutions of Asia and the US in a global context.
Across the fields of arts, business, culture, education, and policy, the Society
provides insight, generates ideas, and promotes collaboration to address
present challenges and create a shared future.
