Paper Planes Create Disney’s PLANES character paper planes! Six character versions for you and your friends to race with! Print out this activity and follow the directions on the following pages to create six of the racer characters in Disney’s Planes. TAKES OFF IN THEATERS IN 3D ON AUGUST 9 ©2013 Disney Paper Planes Play the PLANES racer game with real paper planes. Print out the template pages, and follow the directions to create your racers. Then race them! WINNER! WINNER! WINNER! Racer Game Let’s Race em’! WINNER! WINNER! WINNER! TO PLAY: Print the game board and paper plane templates. Follow the directions to create all six racer planes. SET THE RACETRACK: Cut two pieces of masking tape about 48 inches long. Place tape strips along the floor about 20 feet apart indicating one as the start line and one as the finish line. Line up the contestants behind the start line. Have each person throw their paper plane at the same time, the person whose plane crosses the finish line first WINS the round. Place a penny on the game board to indicate the WINNER for that round. Adjust your paper planes and continue to play until all the rounds are complete. The person who crosses the finish line first for four rounds is the WINNER! With the white side of the first rectangle you choose facing you, fold the rectangle in half and unfold it so the paper lays flat again. Now, fold the left two corners towards you. 3). Fold the triangle you created with the first set of folds towards you so the point lines up with the center of the rectangle. start the fold out from the center line a little bit so the corners touch the center line of the airplane when folded. 5.) Fold back the triangle tip that peeks out from behind your new folds to hold them in place. 6-7.) Flip the airplane over so the design is now facing you and fold it in half towards you on the dashed line. 8-9). Fold down the wings on both sides and you are ready to fly! 4.)
