Healthy Living - Healthy Church
“Healthy Living - Healthy Church”
Spring 2016
“Everywhere I look these days, ‘Healthy Living’ seems to be the new
mantra. Get fit! Loose weight! Drink less! Exercise more!....
“Joyce Meyer once said, ‘I believe that the greatest gift you can give
your family and the world is a healthy you’, which got me thinking.
Nature teaches us that healthy things grow, maybe slowly and unseen,
but always transforming and maturing. I believe that God intends
to display His glory, beauty, perfection, power and love through His
body, the church… Sadly, we’ve not always looked our best! But what
if we took seriously the call to discipleship and the pursuit of Christlike
living? What might that look like for our communities, our witness
and our worship?
“Over the next three months, we will explore what the Bible teaches
about leading Spiritually healthy lives embracing a lifestyle of discipleship
and holiness in our lives, homes and communities.” Tim
