As for versatility, the APEX can be quickly and easily set up with a wide range of Bergara Barrels in 15 different muzzleloading, centerfire and rimfire
calibers. Plus, every APEX features CVA’s patent pending E-Z OpenTM breeching mechanism, which, due to its trigger guard actuation, is extremely
simple to operate. And its innovative trigger design provides an incredibly clean, crisp pull that is adjustable from approximately 3 to 4.75 pounds.
Also, for ease of cleaning the APEX Muzzleloader features the patent pending CVA QRBP (Quick-Release Breech Plug); the only such system that

The new SCOUT V2 is very similar in design to the APEX centerfire rifle, but without the interchangeable barrel capability. So, for the hunter who
wants a high quality single shot rifle in only one caliber, the SCOUT V2 is the ideal choice. Sleek, lightweight, and easy to operate, the SCOUT V2
sets a new standard for affordable single shot hunting rifles. The SCOUT V2 sports a 22” fluted barrel that is constructed of 416 grade stainless steel.
The stocks are lightweight and 100% ambidextrous, plus they feature CVA’s CrushZone Recoil pad – a real plus for heavier calibers, like the .35
Whelen. The SCOUT V2 is also available in a “Compact” version (1” shorter stock and 2” shorter barrel) – which makes it perfect as a deer rifle for

IMPORTANT SAFETY REMINDERS
BEWARE OF LOADING GIMMICKS
Many new shooters are coming into muzzleloading and with
the constant changes in terminology, it is more important than
ever for all muzzleloader users to understand how to safely
load and shoot their muzzleloader.
NEVER USE SMOKELESS POWDER IN ANY
MUZZLELOADER
Some manufacturers, including CVA, are now offering guns
that are designed to shoot heavier than standard powder
charges and/or projectiles. New shooters may become confused by the advertising for these rifles and attempt to use
heavier charges and/or projectiles in older guns, which were
not designed to handle the resulting high pressures. Even
some experienced shooters have made this mistake. Some
have also used what is known as a “duplex load,” which is
a mixture of blackpowder and smokeless powder. Any percentage of smokeless powder in a duplex load may create
pressures almost equal to pure smokeless charges and could
cause a blackpowder gun to explode. Make no mistake about
it — these loading practices can be incredibly dangerous!
All shooters need to fully understand the recommended
loads for each blackpowder gun they own. If you have any
