CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
1.
Entries will be restricted to course capacity, the only entries that will be accepted will be those made on the official entry form, with the entry
fee enclosed. All others will be rejected.
2.
Entries for all events will close on Wednesday February 1st 2017, and must be addressed to the Tournament Secretary P.O. Box 828, Belmont,
3216.
3.
All handicaps will be fixed by the Tournament Committee who reserve the right to make any alterations to handicaps before any event if they
deem it desirable. Maximum Australian Handicap 36 for men, 45 for ladies. Golf Pass not acceptable.
4.
The Tournament Committee has the entire management of the meeting. In the event of ties, events will be decided on count back with the
exception of scratch events, which will be decided by a sudden death play-off from the first hole as will be decided by the Tournament
Committee. Count-backs will be made as laid down by the Golf Australia..
5.
Players must be prepared to play when called upon by the Tournament Committee.
6.
Entries are restricted to amateurs who are members of clubs of the Victorian Golf Association or of golf clubs registered with such state or
overseas Associations as are affiliated with or recognised by this Association, or of clubs affiliated with the Victorian Golf League and
Registered Golfers. The Committee shall have the right to refuse the entry of any person without being required to give any reason for such
refusal.
7.
Competitions shall be played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as adopted by the Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, Scotland
together with such local rules as are in force on the course over which the competition takes place. If a dispute arises on any point, it shall be
decided by the Committee in charge of the competition, whose decision shall be final. Provided, however, that the Committee if in doubt shall
have the right to refer any such dispute to the Council of Golf Victoria, whose decision then shall be final.
8.
The Committee has the power to temporarily alter a player’s Australian handicap in accordance with the Australian Handicapping System.
9.
The Committee may in the event of bad weather, or any other reason, either cancel or shorten any contest or fix another day.
10. No player can win more than one major trophy on any one day.
11. Neat casual attire must be worn on the course and in the clubrooms.
12. Silver Salver entries to be made by club officials who shall forward names of competitors, handicaps and entry fees. Each team shall consist of
3 players who have played in events 1-5 and the team returning the lowest aggregate net score shall win the Silver Salver event. If an original
member of a team be unable to play, a substitute from the club may be played. Each member of the winning team will receive a trophy. In the
event of a tie the winner shall be decided on count-backs, as recommended by the Golf Australia Count-backs being the aggregate of last 9 , 6
or 3 holes for the whole team.
