OHSI offers comprehensive
medical surveillance to
maintain a healthy work
force, to increase health
awareness in the work place,
while assuring compliance
with OSHA Standards
Our physicians are board
certified in occupational
medicine with over 20 years of
experience in providing services
for the public and private
sectors. Medical specialist and
counseling assistance referral
networks are available.
Our nurses are certified in
spirometry and audiometry,
and x-rays are evaluated by a
certified B-reader. We have
direct access to all resources
of the University of Illinois
at Chicago.
David C. Marder, MD, MPH is the
Director of the Medical Surveillance
Program and Director of the University
Health Services. Dr. Marder is board
certified in both Occupational and
Internal Medicine. He is on the faculty of
the School of Public Health Services.

The Occupational Health Service Institute offers
medical advice and consultation to area businesses
on occupational health issues.
OHSI offers the appropriate
medical surveillance to industries
that must comply with government
or OSHA mandated examinations,
including lead surveillance,
hearing conservation, respirator
fitness clearances and annual
examinations.
OHSI also conducts site
inspections for risk identification
and can provide on-site medical
screening.
