LRH ESS Remote Access Instructions
Welcome to Remote Access for Lawson-Infor Employee Self Service!
General Overview:
Remote Access provides LRH employees with the ability to access Lawson Employee Self Service (ESS) from
home. You are provided with the same functionality as currently available when accessing Lawson ESS from a
computer on LRH property. Remote access is limited to Employee Self Service and does not include other
Lawson modules such as Manager Self Service (MSS) or Requisition Self Service (RSS).
Printing capability (for Windows only) is also provided by installing the remote printing client on your home
computer. Please be aware that it is not be the responsibility of Information Services to support and
troubleshoot an employee’s home computer or printing issues. Remote access is being offered as a
service to our employees. Should you encounter issues with installing or using remote access, it is
recommended that you use an on-site LRH computer to access ESS. If you encounter logon issues with
your username or password, please contact the IS Help Desk at ext. 4357 for assistance.
Using Remote Access:
For first-time users, please refer to the “First-Time User” section on page 3 for instructions to perform the
necessary file downloads and installation (this will differ based on the type of web browser you use at home).
After completing the initial install, follow the instructions below for all subsequent use of remote access.



On your home computer, open your web browser and go to: https://ess.lrmc.com
Enter your LRH Active Directory username and password and press Log On
Click on LRMC ESS on the Applications screen:

At the Lawson-Infor login screen enter your 6-digit employee ID (with leading zeroes) as the User Name
and enter your password and press Login:

You will now be presented with the Lawson screen and see your available Bookmarks just as you would see
when accessed from a computer onsite at LRH. From here, you can access all of the same information and
functions within Lawson just as you would when onsite.

When completed, exit out of Lawson-Infor application.

Close your web browser.
First-Time User:
For first-time users, you must perform the necessary file downloads and installation to your home computer.
This will vary based on the type of web browser you are using. This works best if you are using Internet
Explorer, but can be accessed through the other web browsers mentioned below. Please note that this is
intended to be used outside of the LRH network. If you want to enable printing, you must install the remote
printing client (printing is only available for Windows).

Internet Explorer


On your home computer, open your web browser and go to: https://ess.lrmc.com
Enter your LRH Active Directory username and password and press Log On

If you are prompted about checking the System Configuration on your Device,
o Click Skip Check

If you are prompted to Download the client
o Check the box and Click Download
o On the download window Click Run
o If you are asked if you want to run the software Click Yes

o The client install will then run.
o When the client is done Click Ok
o You will then be presented all of your applications.
 Click on LRMC ESS
o If a message displays “Internet Explorer webpage could” or there is just a gray\blank screen, when
trying to launch LRMC ESS icon. Go to Tools (located on Internet Explorer menu bar(File, Edit,
and etc.) and Compatibility View Settings and in the Add this website: column, Add lrmc.com.
Refresh Internet Explorer and then LRMC ESS should display the Lawson Infor sign-on window.

o If you need to install the client manually or to install the printing client after logon, click on the
Messages tab at the top of the screen.
o You want to click on either the Citrix Web Client for Windows or the Mac Client for Macintosh. For
printing in windows click on the Printing Client.
o Click on the client and install as shown in the instructions above for the ICA Client install.

Google Chrome


On your home computer, open your web browser and go to: https://ess.lrmc.com
Enter your LRH Active Directory username and password and press Log On


o Then Click on the client download in the download bar at the bottom of the screen:
o Click Yes to Start the install.
o When the client is done Click Ok
o Then Click Continue on the client Installation message:
o You will then be presented all of your applications.

 If you have Safari running on a Macintosh
o Download the .dmg file for the version of the plug-in. This runs the Disk Utility program, which
mounts the file as a disk image accessible from your Macintosh desktop.
o On the Introduction page, click Continue.
o On the License page, click Continue.
o Click Agree to accept the terms of the License Agreement.
o On the Destination Select page, select the volume where you want to install the plug-in and click
Continue.
o On the Installation Type page, click Install.
o Enter the administrator account details for the device on which you are installing the plug-in and
click OK.

Installing the Printer Client (Windows Only)



On your home computer, open your web browser and go to: https://ess.lrmc.com
Enter your LRH Active Directory username and password and press Log On
To install the printing client after logon click on the Messages tab at the top of the screen:

For printing in windows click on the Printing Client:

When the client download comes up click on Run:

Then Click Run again on the security warning:

When the installer starts click Next:




On the Destination Folder click Next
On the Setup Type click Next
On the Ready to Install click Next, the program will now install
When the Install is complete click Finish:
Note: You must install this before you connect to the Desktop or your printers will not appear until
you reboot.

Downloading Citrix Plugin for WINDOWS 8 or 10 (Only)

Go to the Windows Store or website: https://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/windows-8rt/receiver-for-windows-8rt.html.

Then Select download Citrix Receiver:

Place the mouse arrow on “Downloads” and choose “Citrix Receiver (ICA)” for the product and Receiver for
Windows for the download type. Once the installation is complete, reboot your device. After your device comes
back up, you can open the browser of your choice to access hospital systems remotely.

For ESS, go to https://ess.lrmc.com. At the Citrix login screen, enter the same login credentials that you use at
LRH to access ESS, API, or Cerner. The Citrix applications menu screen, there will be a LRMC ESS icon to Click.
Please allow up to 30 seconds for the ESS screen to appear.
Depending on your security settings, you may see a message similar to this:

Choose “Open” to launch the selected application.
