Administration/Reception Apprenticeship
Chafford Hundred Medical Centre are offering an opportunity to gain a nationally
recognised qualification in business administration whilst working as part of a
dedicated team of NHS professionals at the heart of the community.
If you are motivated and have excellent communication skills we would like to hear
from you.
As an administration/reception apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn
more about general practice, providing administration support across all areas of the
medical surgery in particular in reception. You will play a vital role in supporting the
efficient running of the practice, working with the reception team as well as clinicians.
Together you will be making a difference to patients’ lives.
Your duties will include:








Booking appointments and home visits
Preparing prescriptions
Processing new patient registrations, referrals and reports
Dealing with patient queries and handling doctors’ requests
Scanning incoming post
Managing incoming/outgoing medical records
Assisting clinical teams to achieve quality targets
Arranging regular/adhoc maintenance.

At Chafford Hundred Medical Centre the staff take pride in offering the highest
standard of patient-centred healthcare. They run a range of clinics for chronic
disease care and offer a variety of other medical services such as antenatal and
postnatal care, minor surgery, childhood vaccinations and well-person check-ups.
The practice has been established for over 90 years and moved to a purpose-built
site in Chafford Hundred 17 years ago.
