96” Twin-Cam Engine. This package is designed to increase cubic inches from the Stock
96” to 103” by only over boring the stock cylinders supplied on the 96 c.i. engine. HotShot increases the compression to 10.5:1 and combines that with their Legendary ProFlow Cylinder Heads as produced for many years with great results. Hot-Shot will select
a Performance Camshaft to suit the riders style of riding. The performance package is
then finished off with Adjustable Push Rods and a Complete Top End Gasket Kit. For Maximum Performance, Hot-Shot suggests

Theory and Technology
At Hot-Shot Motorworks, we have a different theory about Cylinder Head
Porting and Air Flow. Because most of our cylinder head applications are
for Street/Touring Motorcycles, cylinder head air flow needs to be different than a cylinder head which is going to be used for all out performance. The reason for the difference is that an all out performance engine
likes to make horsepower at a higher RPM and therefore requires high
air flow numbers at a higher RPM. This makes the engine very radical, peaky and increases the RPM range that the
power curve comes into effect, thus making you rev your engine to a RPM of 3,500-4,000 RPM before the power
curve starts and then you have to rev the engine to 7,000 RPM to get maximum performance from it. This is what
happens if you purchase a set of heads with big valves, large ports and

For Street/Touring applications, Hot-Shot Motorworks has designed a
cylinder head port that allows excellent air flow at lower cam lifts to
increase cylinder fill at lower RPM’s. This design allows the engine to
make awesome torque at the 2,000-4,500 RPM range which is needed to
pull heavier loads, pass vehicles and maneuver steep inclines with out
having to downshift to a lower gear. Since the new 2007 H-D motorcycles now come with six speed transmissions, this combination is
needed now more than ever before to allow the bike to perform flawlessly in all gears. Combine this cylinder head design with our custom
designed camshafts and you will achieve the performance level that
you have been dreaming of without the wear and tear on your engine
by revving it in the high RPM range needed if you install big valve large ported cylinder heads.

Bigger is Not Always Better. Remember, although Big Air Flow and Big Horsepower Numbers are Impressive, but it is the Overall Average of Air Flow and
Horsepower Numbers that is Important.

Our 95” Cylinder Head Package is designed to extract the most torque available from your
engine. Hot-Shot has designed a special port that we use with all of our performance packages. We strive to maintain the maximum amount of velocity through the intake port so that
maximum cylinder fill can be obtained to create maximum torque and horsepower from
your engine. These cylinder heads use 1.900” Intake and 1.615” Exhaust valves. This head
combination works excellent with engine sizes up to 97” and are set up to accept cam lifts
up to .600”, although , can be set up to accept higher lift cams.

This Cylinder Design is created to produce awesome power from engine sizes of 97” thru
107”. The port design is altered a little from our 95” head packages which allows more air
flow to support the larger engines. These cylinder heads use 1.940” Intake and 1.625” Exhaust valves. This head combination works excellent with Big Bore engines up to 107”.

Hot-Shot Motorworks has been using this port design for many years on our bigger cubic
inch engines. This port design utilizes a larger intake port with an inlet opening of 1.800” to
allow more air flow to achieve more cylinder fill in the bigger cubic inch engine. With this
port design, a 1.800” I.D. Intake Manifold must be used to accommodate enough air flow.
These heads use 1.940” - 2.00” Intake valves and 1.700” - 1.750” Exhaust valves. and are set
up to accept cam lifts up to .650”, although ,can be set up to accept higher lift cams.

Pro-Flow Cylinder Heads
This head combination is used for Big Cubic Inch engines. We start out with an aftermarket
cylinder head casting and build from there. As with all of our cylinder heads, they are hand
ported for maximum air flow and port velocity. This particular head can either be built with a
round port or an oval port, which ever works best for the combination that is being built.
These heads use a 1.800” Intake Port opening with a ‘D’ shaped Exhaust Port using 2.00”—
2.150” Intake valves and 1.750” Exhaust valves. and are set up to accept cam lifts up to .650”,
although, can be set up to accept higher lift cams.

This 95”Big Bore Kit increases the bore by boring the stock H-D cylinders to 3.875”. Hot-Shot Motorworks offers this kit as an Exchange Kit and comes complete with Pistons 9.5:1 or 10.5:1 Compression., Piston Rings (pre-fit) Wrist Pins, Piston Pin Clips and Complete Gasket Kit. Stock H-D cylinders
are Precision Bored and Plateau Honed to maintain dimensional sizing. Hot-Shot recommends that a
set of cured cylinder be sent in as exchange. We have found that purchasing new 95” cylinders from H-D and boring them
does not insure proper ring seal and creates excessive blow -by in the crankcase. New cylinders that have not been heat cycled will distort and not stay straight and round which causes the ring to improperly seal and causes blow -by.

Andrews 2007 Gear Drive Kit
With S&S Gear Drive Sets
Andrews '07 gear drive cams are made for '07 Twin 96" and '06 Dyna engines. Designed for new 2007 S&S gear drives, cams listed have the same specs as Andrews
cams for earlier '99-'05 engines. Cams and gear drives made for '99-2006 engines
will not fit '07 engines or '06 Dyna engines. New '07 gear drive kits include two
plates for blocking chain oil holes which are not needed for gear drives. Performance
with '07 cams will be similar to earlier '99-'05 engines.

Andrews Upgrade Kit
Upgrade '99-2006 Engines to 2006-'07 Roller Chain Drives
The following parts are needed to convert early style '99-2006 chain drive cams to
new style 2007 (same as 2006 Dyna) roller chain cams with hydraulic chain tensioners. Instead of the original spring adjusters, new roller cam chains use engine oil pressure to maintain proper chain tension. Cam Sprocket retaining cap screws can be
removed and re-installed.
The roller chain conversion cams have similar performance characteristics as the
same cam grinds with original chains.
Matching EZ-install pushrods kits are also available from Andrews Products. EZinstall pushrods do not require removal of gas tanks or rocker boxes when installing
bolt-in camshafts.

Since the new Twin Cam 88 engine uses a non-adjustable crankshaft position sensor, mechanical timing adjustments are no longer possible. The TC-88 solves this problem with a switch for
setting the initial timing. A second switch sets the slope of the advance.

switches are used to set the advance characteristics and RPM limit. The combination of
these two switches allows the user to optimize the timing advance for a wide range of applications—from stock to highly modified engines.

The TCFI solves tuning issues with highly modified engines. Competitive “Band Aid” products that interface to the Delphi controller still rely on speed-density fuel control. Long duration/high overlap camshafts wreak havoc with manifold pressure, especially at idle and
cruise RPM. Speed-density based fuel control simply can’t cope. High-end automotive racing systems use alpha-N (throttle position and RPM based) fuel control. Alpha-N eliminates
any dependence on manifold pressure and is unaffected by long duration/high overlap
camshafts. The Daytona Twin-Tec TCFI brings this proven technology to the H-D marketplace.

COMETIC "MLS" Multi-Layer Steel Head Gaskets
(Pairs)
MLS head gaskets are made from three layers of STAINLESS STEEL. Gasket Embossment seals off combustion and alleviates the need for alignment dowel o-rings.
Outer layers get a .001" thick coating of Viton rubber coating that acts as a micro
sealer. These gaskets are designed to move with the head both vertically as well as
horizontally and maintain the seal.

“Cool-Shots”
Hot-Shot Motorworks has developed the “Cool-Shots” to reduce the
P/N HSCS-91-Kit
operating temperature of the XL & Buell engines by squirting a direct stream of
oil onto the piston and cylinder wall. This has the potential to lower the cylinder temperature up 200 deg.. This product is a must for all high-performance
engines and a cure for those engines that scuff pistons (especially the Buell).
During testing we have seen cylinder temperatures as high as 450 deg. under
normal riding conditions. With the “Cool-Shots“ installed the cylinder temperatures were lowered to 265 deg. (Note: Piston scuffing starts to occur at
465 deg.). If you have been plagued by scuffed & seized pistons, this is the
cure that you have been looking for. Call for Details!

“Hot-Shot” Twin Cam Crank Pin Plugs
Hot-Shot Motorworks designed these special crank pin plugs to expand the crank pin
with a greater interference fit than the stock freeze plugs. By installing these plugs in
the end of the crank pin they apply more pressure to the crank pin to eliminate crankshaft movement during operation. Hot-Shot uses these plugs in every Twin Cam crankshaft that we balance or rebuild. A Must for Hi-Performance engines.

“Twin Cam” - Cam Plate Modifications
Hot Shot Motorworks has engineered a modification for the Twin Cam - Cam Plates
that allows additional oil flow and leak proof sealing of the cam plate to the engine
case. By modifying the cam plate it will increase the oil pressure and volume to the
engine avoiding the purchase of a hi-pressure/hi-volume oil pump. The normal oil
pressure increase is about 10psi. Throughout the engine RPM range. A modification
that every engine needs when you are changing cams or cam bearings.
