Welcome
Dear Friends:
It is with great anticipation and excitement that we
prepare for your arrival and participation in one of the
most historic moments in Karate history – the 1st
United World Karate Championships.
These Championships will take place in Koper, Slovenia,
October 12 – 18, 2015. For the first time, the World
Championships for Karate will include competition for
Traditional Karate, General Karate and Contact Karate.
This will be a true celebration of our beautiful martial
art of karate by presenting on the world stage the
diversity of our art in all of its splendour. Not since
1968, when the first world level competition was held in Los Angeles, California
has there been such a unique moment in as there will be at this Championship.
It is our hope that these World Championships will be a catalyst for the future of
Karate development world-wide, where differences are set aside and our
diversity supported, promoted and enjoyed for the benefit of everyone who loves
Karate. The competition platform and format of UWK will bring together Karate
practitioners from diverse backgrounds in the spirit of unity and with a united will
to move our respective approaches to Karate Sport forward – collectively.
This moment is so unique that to miss it will be missing the personal opportunity
to participate in making history for Karate. I look forward to welcoming each of
you to this venue where we are “United As One!”

Dear players, organizers and all karate lovers,
It is our great honor to host the first United World Karate
World Championship in our city. I would like to extend
you a warm welcome and wish you a pleasant stay in the
City Municipality of Koper. We are happy to be given an
opportunity to support one of the largest sport events
with mass participation, since we are well aware of the
importance of sports. It goes far beyond just running
after a ball, hurdling or swimming; it is an invisible part
of our lives that pervades nearly every aspect of our
everyday living: it is simply a lifestyle.
I am convinced that this event is another opportunity for our beautiful Koper to
present its many tourist attractions, culinary delights, rich cultural and
architectural heritage, and, of course, its modern sports infrastructure to the
world.
The City Municipality of Koper has been trying to develop into an important
sports and cultural centre. That is why we put big effort and funding in the
provision of sport facilities and in the promotion of sports, which makes it
possible to organize such an important event as it is the United World Karate
World Championship.
I am convinced you are all well aware that there are no victories without sweat,
no achievements without hard work, no medals without failure. The road to
success is paved with persistence, so may persistence, courage and vitality stay
with you in the next few days and bring you new victories and achievements.

KOPER - SLOVENIA
Situated at a latitude of 45 degrees 32,5' North and at longitude 13 o 45,5' East,
with a characteristic Mediterranean climate partly influenced by the continental
interior.
This is Koper with its mild winters and
warm and dry summers. Is there
anything more pleasant than standing
on the seaside, embraced by a soft
north-west breeze, admiring the scarlet
sky on a day when the sirocco blows or
watching the sea in its wild dance of
waves stirred by the northern wild?
The climax of the summer in Koper the Yellow night with the largest and longest lasting fireworks, with the greatest
number of events taking place in the open air, a family holiday, a real national
festivity. Let yourself go to the rhythm of the summer, enjoy the theatre
performances taking place within the ancient city walls, and in winter drink a
toast to the coming New Year and to all the years to come.
Enjoy the local handicrafts, taste the
typical local dishes like the jota (a soup
with pickled cabbage), the bobiči (corn
soup), polenta (corn porridge), cod, the
fish soup, fish specialities and the typical
local wines.
The valley of the castles, with the caste of
Socerb as the first one, extends below the
edge of the Karst as a limes, a fortified
border that once separated the territory of
the Venetian Republic from the Austrian region.
The path takes us then through Hrastovlje with the ancient frescoes and the
world - famous Dance Macabre to the tower in Hrvoje, which marks the highest
point in Istria. There the sight touches the horizon. Excursionists, riders and
cyclists can discover the hidden beauties of the waterfalls, the rapids and pools
of the Dragorija river - an oasis with crystal clear water.

The Sport Hall: ARENA BONIFIKA
The stadium is located in a quiet,
nevertheless very strategical area: the
intersection of two important axis, the
first is a road connecting the town's
historical centre and the new residential
areas, the second is the path between the
seaside promenade of Koper and a public
park with many playgrounds, boarded by
an artificial stream. On the neighbouring
plot is a new Olympic swimming pool
centre.
The new building being visible from the see as well as from the road to the
centre, the proposition had to be a signal, without being a disturbance in a rather
flat landscape.
As a consequence, the proposition is visually very simple, a wide cylinder,
elevated above the public space, the entrance being a continuity of the
surrounding park.

Cancellation charges
The Client is entitled to cancel the accommodation arrangement. In the case
when the accommodation arrangement is cancelled by the Client, Hittours shall
have the right to the reimbursement of the costs arising from the cancellation of
the accommodation arrangement.
The amount to be reimbursed depends on the time in which the Client has
delivered the cancellation.
If the Client cancels the agreement on accommodation arrangement, he/she is
obliged to reimburse Hittours the handling costs in the amount of 15,00 € per
referral or voucher.
The amounts to be reimbursed for the arrangement cancellation costs depend on
the time until the day of the beginning of the provision of a service, in which the
Client has cancelled the agreement on accommodation arrangement:
From 60 to 45 days prior to the day of the beginning of rendering the services –
10% of the arrangement price.

From 29 to 15 days prior to the day of the beginning of rendering the services –
50% of the arrangement price.

Failure to attend without prior cancellation – 100% of the arrangement price.

cancellations. The appropriate refunds will be made after the event.
Date of delivery of your written cancellation to the Hittours will be considered as
