James D. Julia’s June 2016 Rare Lamps, Glass, & Fine Jewelry auction will feature a comprehensive array
of over 1,100 lots of the finest quality collectibles. Highlights include an extraordinary Tiffany Studios
drop-head dragonfly lamp and several fine floral pattern lamps; a beautiful Handel 6826 reversepainted stream scene lamp; an incredibly rare Gallé penguin vase; fine Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre
malfrey pots and vases; G. Argy Rousseau pate de verre, Daum, Gallé, Lalique and other French
glass; and a fresh offering of Art Nouveau furniture from Gallé, Majorelle and other makers.
Over 40 lots of silver will be offered, highlighted by a Tiffany
& Co. mixed-metal candelabra set with provenance and
other fine examples from Kirk, Jensen, Gorham and
others. The assortment of quality fine diamond and
gemstone jewelry is outstanding, with over 160
pieces to be sold. Several private collections will be
offered, including Mt. Washington Royal Flemish
from the unreserved collection Mrs. Jackie and the
late Dean Ballard; an unreserved collection from Texas
that includes fine jewelry, silver and French cameo glass;
an unreserved collection from the Estate of David Barnett that
includes American art glass and French cameo glass; and an impressive offering from the unreserved
collection of Dr. Brian and Mrs. Nancy Bojesen that features over 30 lots of antique lighting from
Handel, Pairpoint, and Wilkinson, as well as examples of Gallé and Daum cameo, and Tiffany pottery.
