MOVIE TIE-INS
The Great Wall opens worldwide in February 2017, an epic sci-fi
adventure set around one of the world’s most iconic structures, and
featuring a star-studded cast from both Hollywood and Chinese cinema.
Mashing elements of science fiction and history, the film tells how the wall was erected to defend against a largescale invasion of giant mythical creatures. In 15th century China, warriors discover the hurried construction of a
massive wall. As night falls they realize that the wall was not built just to keep out the Mongols, but something
altogether more inhuman and more dangerous.
The Great Wall stars Matt Damon, Andy Lau, Pedro Pascal, Willem Dafoe, Jing Tian, Luhan and Zhang Hanyu and is
directed by Zhang Yimou (House of Flying Daggers, Curse of the Golden Flower and The Flowers of War).

ALIEN
Three stand-alone, fully licensed and original novels set in the Alien
universe, tying directly in to the first two movies, Alien and Aliens.
Alien, the 1979 science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott, has had a significant impact on popular culture. In
2002 it was inducted into the National Film Registry of the Library for historical preservation as a film which is
‘culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant’. In 2008 it was ranked as the seventh-best film in the science
fiction genre by the American Film Institute, and as the 33rd-greatest movie of all time by Empire magazine.
Now readers can enjoy three brand-new Alien novels by hand-picked authors, developed in conjunction with
20th Century Fox. These adventures will take readers back to the core of the Alien universe, revealing neverbefore-explored secrets of the Weyland Corporation and the xenomorphs—the predatory aliens themselves.
These novels are cohesive and are designed to fit within the canon of the original films Alien and Aliens.

Imagine the twisted evil twins of Holmes and Watson and you have the dangerous duo of Professor James

that both sides are being manipulated in a way which brings betrayal and another death before it’s resolved.
The Fire Pit
When forty-year-old skeletal remains of a child are unearthed at an isolated farm on the island of Sandoy,
Hjalti Hentze is charged with investigating the death. But as Hentze’s investigation turns to the commune

The Moonstone’s Curse
Sherlock Holmes and his cousin, Dr Henry Vernier, have a new client. Charles Bromley comes to Baker Street,
fearful that his wife is in danger. She has seen a mysterious Indian face at her window, and believes that it is
connected with the Moonstone, a fabulous diamond that has been in her family for generations, stolen from
a sacred Hindu statue. Holmes and Vernier, along with Vernier’s wife Michelle, visit the Bromleys to investigate.
They seeks to discover whether the Moonstone is the genuine article by visiting a jeweller, a jeweller who is
then found murdered with a note by his side, claiming that the Moonstone Curse was responsible. Then the
diamond is stolen, and Holmes and Vernier must try to unravel a mystery centuries in the making.

object of his affection is said to be under a thousand-year-old druidic curse, doomed to take the form of a
gigantic snake. Locals speak of a green glow in the woods at night, and a white apparition amongst the trees. Is
