The EMIRATES ARABIAN HORSE SOCIETY is the organizing authority of the sale.
The Official venue will be at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club
A.
Conditions & Costs
All horses that will be offered for genuine sale are subject to the following:
1 – Horses must be registered at EAHS.
2 – Horses with show pedigree.
3 – Horses will only be accepted for inclusion in the catalogue following receipt of a properly
completed signed Entry Form.
4 – A non-refundable fee of AED 2000 will be charged against the registered owner of each horse
entered for the auction.
5 – Auction horses will not count as part of the stud ceiling of horses in the show.
6 – No commission of purchase price will be deducted.
7 – Horses will only be accepted into the sales’ ring after having been positively identified.
8 – Horses can participate and be shown (unless they are restricted by the show conditions) in the
Abu Dhabi International Show by the new buyer.
9 – The new buyer will be entitled of winning the prize.
B.
Purchases
Each intended buyer:
1 – Must be over 21 years old
2 – Must complete and sign a registration form supplied by the EAHS giving
full name address and contact numbers.
3 – Must deposit the sum of AED 10.000
Such deposit will enable the intended purchaser to secure a “bidding
number”. Each “bidding number” is for sole, personal use and the intended
purchase in whose name the “bidding number” is registered, will be deemed
to be personally responsible for all purchases, keep fees and associated
charges accorded against such “bidding number”. The deposit will be
refunded in full should no purchases be made or adjusted against any
purchase price or keep charges. A refund of the deposit will be arranged
within 7 days of the Sale.
4 – Bids will only be accepted from registered bidders who are in possession
of a “bidding number”
C.
Charges & Settlings
1 – The sale is conducted on a “buyers beware” principle with no guarantees on any
purchase. Each lot becomes the property of the highest bidder at the fall of the
auctioneer‘s hammer; such purchaser shall assume the responsibility for all cost and
expenses related to the care, custody and control of such horse. Any purchaser failing to
comply with this condition will forfeit their deposit.
2 - At the completion of each sale, the purchaser shall forthwith complete and sign the
‘’Acknowledgement of Purchase” form.
3 – Full payment of the purchase price and all keep charges shall be made to EAHS within
5 days of the Sale. For horses that do not require export testing, the EAHS will charge
AED 100 per day for horses stabled at EAHS stables. This charge will be for keep charges
plus any other associated costs for each horse not collected on the day following its sale.
For horses that require testing for export, the keep charge of AED 100 per day will apply
from the fifth day (5th) after the sale irrespective of its analytical or vaccination status.
The EAHS shall retain each horse’s passport until full payment is received. If a purchaser
fails to make full payment by this time, such horse will revert to the property of the
original owner and the intended purchaser’s deposit will be forfeited.
4 – All sold horses shall be removed from EAHS Stables within 4 days after the sale.
D.
Responsibilities
1 - Purchasers are responsible for the removal, transportation and
where appropriate, exportation (and all associated costs) of his horse/s
according to rules of EAHS and UAE.
2 – It is the responsibility of the vendor to ensure that all horses offered
for sale have been vaccinated. Any horse that is deemed upon
inspection on sale day not to have its vaccination up to date will not be
permitted to enter the sale ring area.
3 - In the case of any dispute related to any matter concerning this sale
the decision of the EAHS Auction Committee shall be final and binding
on all the parties. Data provided in the catalogue is generally accurate
but occasionally errors occur as a result of incorrect data submission,
processing errors and other causes. EMIRATES ARABIAN HORSE
SOCIETY hereby disclaims all liability for such errors.
