Painting with Window Color
1. Draw the Contour
Trace or paint your design with
the GLAS DESIGN outlining paints
on the GLAS DESIGN special
plastic foil or on glass. Apply
the paint directly from the
painting bottle. Let dry.
2. Coloring
Fill out the design using the GLAS
DESIGN Window Colors of your
choice. Apply sufficient amount
of paint. Make sure to fill out
the design touching the dried
outlines with the paint to create
a closed design. First the paint
looks milky and after drying they
are of brilliant luminosity.
3. Peel off
Let it dry for approx. 24 hours
and then carefully remove
your design and put it on another place (e.g. window). The
design is self-adhesive without
beeing sticky. Dampen for better
adhesion.

Apply the colors

Mounting and peeling off the window picture
The window picture is best mounted on the window at medium
temperature. This is also ideal for peeling it off, because the
picture is then less inclined to distort or rip.
Marble effects
emerge, when you pull the colors into each other with a toothpick for instance
or when you mix the colors.
Spot removal
Remove spots and soilings while still moist with water and soapsuds. If the spot has
already dried, it is very hard to remove. In this case a spot remover from the Beckmann
Company is recommended, which has been especially developed for window color.

On which surfaces can the pictures be mounted?
Favorable are all glass surfaces, tiles or mirrors. If you apply it to
plexiglass, plastic and wood surfaces, the motif may rub off or will
be unable to remove. We therefore recommend self-adhesive foil [Item-No. 42794],
on which you can paint directly. Afterwards the motif is cut out and is mounted
with the foil.
Drawing contours
Draw the contour lines completely closed, so the picture doesn’t rip when peeled off.
Removal after a long time
With time the motifs can become brittle and fragile. Through moistening the picture
with a cloth, a blast of stream from an iron (with distance!) or carefully warming
it with a blow-dryer, the picture becomes flexible again. A ceramic glass cook top
scraper can help with the removal.
