Open Class entry day for the 2016 Fair will be Saturday, July 16th from 9:00 a.m.
to 12:00-noon in the upper level of the Coliseum. There will be 16 Grandstand
events which will include a Cheerleading Contest, 5 sessions of harness racing,
2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees Chicago Concert, Band Spectacular,
Darke County Tractor Pull, 2 days of NTPA tractor pulls, Veteran’s Parade & Memorial
Service, Parade of Champions and a Demolition Derby. For 2016, we will feature
the following free entertainment. Grand Stage Illusionist John Steven Bloom;
SunShine MonkeyShines and a strolling clown. Thursday, August 25 will be “free
til 3” at the admission gates, with ½ price ride bands and special events geared
toward youth that will take place in front of the Grandstand beginning at noon. We
look forward to your visit with us beginning the 3rd Friday in August. Please do not
forget that we have over 275 non-Fair events take place each year, so do not be a
