Matériau phare des années 50-60, la canne naturelle fait un come-back
remarqué et affiche une nouvelle modernité. Souple et très résistante,
cette matière fait toujours ses preuves et reste une source d’inspiration pour
des créations contemporaines. Et comme chaque année, Kok Maison réédite
quelques pièces issues de ses anciennes collections. Estampillées « vintage »,
elles illustrent avec authenticité l’histoire de la maison.

a remarkable come-back and shows new modernity. Flexible and very
resistant, this material is still proven and remains a source of inspiration for

CANNE NATURELLE
La Canne de rotin provient des jungles
d’Indonésie. Cette liane à l’écorce dure et au
cœur tendre permet de réaliser des sièges aux
courbes généreuses et aériennes que nul autre
matériau ne peut égaler. Ces techniques simples et éprouvées permettent d’obtenir un mobilier naturel, solide et léger. Sa couleur blonde est
ponctuée de nœuds de croissance plus sombres
lui donnant un esprit nature à la fois authentique
et raffiné.
rattan is growing in the Indonesian tropical
jungle. It is a pole with a hard skin and a smooth
heart. We use it to create seats with all kinds of
generous curves that no other material can offer.
These very simple and approved technics are
producing natural, light and very solid furniture.
The blond color is mixed with some darker growing circle knots showing both an authentic
and refined spirit.

These traditional rattan models have been sold by Kok Maison for more than
50 years now. They remain charming and authentic yet definitely becoming

MOELLE DE ROTIN NATUREL

générations, les rotiniers tressent à la main la
moëlle de rotin. Son confort souple, sa légèreté
et sa grande solidité sont largement éprouvés !
Et pour plus de douceur au toucher, les accoudoirs sont tressés avec des lacets de rotin naturel
plats. Quant aux volumes des sièges, ils sont
retravaillés pour un confort toujours plus douillet.
Traditions are strong! For generations, skilled
craftsmen have been weaving rattan core by
hand and using flat laces of rattan skin for even
softer feeling. Light and strong, rattan furniture has become essentials. Volumes have just
been adapted for always more comfort.

La technique du Loom est célèbre et ingénieuse.
En 1917, l’américain Marshal Burns Lloyd voulait trouver une alternative au rotin dont le
transport fut interrompu pendant la première
guerre mondiale. En adaptant les machines à
tisser du textile, il met au point un tissage mécanique de ficelle de papier kraft recyclé autour d’un
fil d’acier. Très solide, ce tressage offre une
homogénéité et une régularité incomparable.
Formes et couleurs offrent des combinaisons
infinies.

The Loom weave has been very famous since
the 20’s. In 1917, the american Marshal Burns
Lloyd developed a new way of weaving since
the import of rattan was stopped during the
world war I. Using the principles of textile machinery, he wove on a loom twisted recyclable kraft
paper around a metal wire. The Loom is a smooth,
even and very strong weave. Elegant and charming shapes can be lacquered in endless color
charts.

STRUCTURE : la structure des sièges est en bois exotique
et en rotin. Le tissage « Lloyd Loom » est agrafé à la structure. La jonction des patrons finie par une ganse tressée.
Les sangles en nylon assurent confort et résistance.
La résilience du sanglage garantit la souplesse et le maintien de l’assise. La bague en laiton, encastrée dans le
piètement est une protection anti-choc.
COUSSIN : les coussins sont réalisés en mousse de polyéther 30kg/m 3 , habillée de ouate de polyester pour
l’assise et de fibres de polyester pour les dossiers. Les
coussins de chaises sont proposés en option. Ils sont attachés à l’arrière du dossier par des lanières reliées par du
velcro. Le nœud décoratif également en option coulisse
dans les lanières. Ils sont tous entièrement déhoussables grâce à une ouverture suffisamment large et une
enveloppe en maille entourant le bloc de mousse.

produit à base de cire. Ne laissez pas une tâche attaquer le vernis et imprégner
définitivement le bois.

each layer, there is always a very smooth sanding. Then, we spray a layer of sealer to fix the color and a top coat to give the smooth touch.

structure of the wood. Becoming too dry, it can make the lacquer crack or the
UV light can attack the texture of the varnish (yellowing, spots…)
MAINTENANCE: the top coat is protecting the wood efficiently. Use a wet cloth
to keep your furniture nice looking. Do not use solvent base chemicals or wax
that may attack the varnish. Don’t leave a spot destroy the top coat and enter
the wood.

The brushed teak is in itself a testimony of its long history. Recycled from old
buildings ‘carpentry wood, it has bee reprocessed to become a unique and
authentic piece of furniture with inherent imperfections, holes and
crevasses.

papier de verre fin dans le sens du fil du bois.
Afin de protéger ce bois brut, nous proposons un produit imperméabilisant à
base d’eau qui n’altère en rien sa couleur. Un flacon peut traiter environ 5M2.
Appliquer à une distance de 20 cm. Laisser sécher et recommencer l’opération
une seconde fois. Une application régulière évite aux liquides de pénétrer à l’intérieur de la fibre. Réf. VER004- Easy wood spray 500 ml.

Chaque pièce est brossée à la main pour accentuer les rainures et le veinage du teck. Le mélange
aléatoire de teck clair et foncé rend chaque

to become a unique piece of furniture.
Imperfections prove its authenticity. Every

Tirez le bandeau latéral, poser l’allonge entre les coulisses,
repoussez le bandeau et tourner les deux supports sous le
plateau pour fixer l’ensemble.
The dining table Drift is proposed in several dimensions: 3 rectangular fix (M31/M33/M34/2) and one rectangular with extensions (M54N); 1 square fix (M35) and 1 square with extensions
(M54N); in addition, a higher version for bar stools (M34).
Pull the side support, put the extension between the rails, push
the side support back and turn the 2 wings attached under the
top to hold the whole piece tight.
