Thank you for booking your child’s birthday at Abbotsford Recreation Centre! We look forward to hosting a
Fantastic party for you. Please review the information prior to your party day.
Parking: We have underground parking or parking in the front or south end of the facility.
Cancellations: Cancellations or changes must be made 1 week prior to your booking date. In the event of
illness, a refund may be issued with a doctor’s note. All cancellations are subject to a $5 cancellation fee.

Feedback: We would like to know how we did! Please take the time to fill out a party feedback form at the
end of your party and return it to your party host or the front desk.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ARC
What do I need to bring to the party?
Basic tableware is provided for the children attending the party. Please bring a cake knife, candles, tableware for any adults attending and matches or lighter. You are also welcome to bring any additional food or
supplies you may need. For swimming parties make sure you bring your swimwear, towels and goggles or
ear plugs if needed.
Can I bring my own decorations?
You are welcome to bring along your own decorations or supplies to your party. The party room is available
15 minutes in advance to your booking time for set up. Please note that any additional set up will be your
responsibility to clean up and we ask that you use sticky tac instead of tape or thumbtacks to save damage
to the walls.
What time can I arrive for my party?
We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your party rental.
Where do I meet the Party Host?
When you arrive please proceed to the front desk on the gymnasium side and they will direct you to your
party room.
Where can I put our belongings?
For swimming parties, there are coin lockers (2 Canadian quarters needed) available in the men’s/women’s
pool change rooms or cubbby holes on the pool deck.
For Fun Zone parties there are coin lockers (2 Canadian quarters needed) available in the men’s/women’s
change rooms located across from the Gym. Belongings may also be left in the party room.
Are there Kitchen facilities available?
A fridge, freezer and microwave are available for food storage during your party. Please ask your party host
for assistance.
Can I purchase food at the facility?
There are vending machines in the building for snacks and drinks and a Cafe located inside between the
pool and gym sides.
Are the children supervised by the Party host?
The party host is responsible for the set-up/take-down of the party room with direction from you. Parents
are responsible for supervision of the party children (1 adult for every 3 for under 7years in the pool).
Children under 7yrs must wear a helmet while skating. The Party host will supervise the boucers for the
Gym Fun Zone parties.
Do we have the facility to ourselves?
For Fun Zone parties you have exclusive use of the gym during the first hour of your party. For swimming
parties you are sharing the pool during public swim sessions.
Are we able to stay longer than our allotted time?
For Fun Zone parties you will not be allowed to stay longer as we have parties booked back to back. For
swimming parties you may stay for the remainder of the public swim session.
