INFORMATION FOR DISTRIBUTORS
JANUARY 2014
Dear friends,
although the New Year is still far, far ahead, we will virtually across
the magical New Year line today, with the introduction of the January
2014 releases list. Also, it is good time to explain our Christmas/New
year schedule for shipping of the December 2013 and January 2014
deliveries. Our sales department will be open latest time this year
on December 20th, 2013, and will be open again for all regular trade
operation on January 6th, 2014. Please note, we grant dispatching
on December 20th, 2013 just for the orders received until December
18th, the others may be dispatched after January 6th, 2014. January
2014 releases will be fully available on January 6th, 2014 too. The
December 2013 releases will be available for international customers on November 20th, 2013. I highly recommend you don´t hesitate with your re-stock orders, to give us enough time to dispatch
your orders as soon as possible!
Concerning the January 2014 releases, there are couple of bestseller
candidates among them again. There is DH-2 Stripdown in 1/48th
scale, bringing the photoetched under skin airframe, combined with
complete plastic kit. This is our first Stripdown release in larger scale,
the large photo-etched airframe skeleton looks magnificent, I guess.
The Weekend edition of the popular Spitfire Mk.IXc late version in
the 1/48th scale opened a lot of questions what will be our solution of the armored plates behind the pilot seat, because there is no
plastic armor in the Profipack kit, just two photo-etched plates. Our
final solution is to add the armored plates to the plastic, and the kit
now includes new plastic parts of the armored plates. This could be
a frequent customer question.
The Profipack line is represented by 1/72nd scale MiG-15bis. The
long time waited kit is released with standard Profipack equipment

We believe our MiG-15bis will be most accurate and finest detailed kit
of the MiG-15 in classic 1/72nd scale.
There are couple of highly interesting BigEd sets among the January
photo-etch assortment, Bf 109G-6 and F4U-1, both in 1/32nd scale. All
still released sets for these two kits belong to the best Eduard designs
ever released, and the both the BigEds will be surely widely welcomed.
Please note the 1/48th scale B-29 set collection in the classic PE line.
We release these sets for very old, but still nice Monogram´s B-29 because the other sets for the big Monogram bombers, B-17G and B-24s,
are long time bestsellers and we trust these new ones will be at least
good sellers too. Also, see the 1/72nd scale Lancaster Mk.I/Mk.III and
1/48th scale MiG-23MF sets too, as well as the others ones in the January list.
There is the new DB 605 engine for Bf 109G-6 in 1/32nd scale among
the Brassin sets, designed for new Revell Bf 109G-6. The engine is designed to be mounted under the open upper cowling, and it is not expected the bottom cowling has to be open, which means the bottom
part of the engine is not realistically designed and casted, it just fits to
the original plastic bottom part of the kit nose. The upper part is highly
detailed, of course, including the resin casted cowling. This solution
allows to biuld the kit compact, without a necessity to cut the nose
to arrange the open bottom cowling. Some critics to this solution are
expected, but we trust it will be accepted by majority of the customers
and this item became bestseller too.
