I have been drawing as long as I can remember. Early inspirations
were cartoons and hot rod stuff like Ed Roth's Rat Fink. I was always
good at art in school and afterwards studied visual communication /
graphic design. I worked as technical artist for a major New Zealand
based design company, and as freelance artist and exhibiting
paintings before tattooing.
I have been tattooing professionally since 2007 at various shops in
Christchurch, Sydney, Melbourne and Wellington. The styles of tattoo I
enjoy most are traditional, neo traditional, realism and geometric.
Heavy contrast, whip and dot shaded work. Art influences range from
vintage tattoo art, lowbrow hot rod art, graffiti, b-grade horror and
sci-fi movie posters, retro futurism, mid century industrial design,
vintage etchings and scientific illustration. Enjoy.
