Read Your Way to Fenway
Historic New England
In this annual summer reading contest, children and teens read three
books for a chance to win three tickets to watch the Red Sox play at
Fenway Park on Sunday, August 28. Sponsored by John Hancock, The
Red Sox Foundation, and The Boston Public Library Foundation.
Rules
•For children and teens ages 5 to 17.
Ever wonder why our football team is called the Patriots?
Or why the Red Sox are named after their socks? Children
root, root, root into the history of New England home teams,
explore how they were formed, and discover how teams
choose a mascot. Participants invent their own team complete
with a name, colors, and a mascot and make a team pennant.
