Message from the Chairman, CII Chhattisgarh State
Message from the Chairman, CII Chhattisgarh State Council
Ashish Jain
Dear Young Indians,
The greatest wealth and strength of a nation is its youth. The future of a nation lies in the hands of its posterity. The quality of its youth
determines the kind of future, the nation will have. Therefore, if we want to ensure a bright future for our country, we first need to strengthen
and empower our youth. The youth of any nation and society are its potential energy. They are the powerhouse and storehouse of infinite
energy. They are the ones who are the pride of the nation. It is the youth which brings laurels to their country.
If we can harness this powerhouse of the nation in the right direction then the country can reach untold heights. All we need is to direct the
energy of our youth in constructive channels that lead to development and progress. The creative potential of the younger generation
coupled with their zeal, enthusiasm, energy and versatility can work wonders for the country. We need to empower our youth so that they
can make a better tomorrow. Let us constructively focus on using the power of the youth for the betterment of the nation. Let us frame such
policies which aim at empowering our youth so that we can be assured of a better future and a brighter tomorrow.
Throughout the year, Yi has devoted its energy to bringing together young Indians from across the nation, lending strength, developing
focus and, most importantly, taking a holistic approach to nation building with a “We can We will” approach. I am delighted that the Young
Indian Raipur Chapter was ably led by Mr Amitava Ghosh, supported by a competent team. They have been admirably successful in
engaging youth of the region in the development process of the nation.
It is my sincere wish that Yi takes up some projects that will fulfill the long-term need of the city and society at large. CII is indeed proud that
Yi shaping exactly the way my senior colleagues at CII have envisioned. I am sure Yi will grow further and make significant contributions.
My best wishes to Young Indians in their journey to excellence in making a better India.
Message from the Chair, Yi Raipur Chapter
Amitava Ghosh
Dear Members,
It was matter of great privilege and honour for me to be the helm of affairs of Yi Raipur Chapter for the year 2015-2016. I look back with
great satisfaction and pride at our achievements. The agenda we set for ourselves when the new team took over the responsibility was
distinctly clear in mind.
Looking at the larger context, the year has been remarkable for the country. We are fortunate to be at such a defining moment at a time
when India is truly recognized as the next great opportunity globally. We have moved on to a higher plane of economic growth.
Yi Raipur Chapter organised so many activities related to Health, Safety & Environment Vertical, Learning Vertical, YUVA Vertical, Swachh
Bharat Abhiyan Mission, and Project Masoom & Membership Vertical.
Overall, the Raipur Chapter has done well in some areas. In some, we will do better in the future. The experience of being the Chair for the
Raipur Chapter has been great. Last but not the least a great set of friends that I am sure I have made for a long time to come.
I would like to wish all the best to the incoming Chair, Abhishek Agrawal, who stood by me during my Chairmanship. I am confident that
with the new leadership that is taking over, Yi Raipur Chapter will achieve the plans that have been set.
I also take this opportunity to thank CII Chhattisgarh for all the support we have received and would like to acknowledge the sincere efforts
of Yi secretariat as well.
I will always treasure the memories of leading our Yi Raipur Chapter. And what gives me even more joy and satisfaction is to see Yi scale
much greater heights in the coming years with the active participation of all members.
I am sure together “WE CAN- WE WILL”
Message from the Co-Chair, Yi Raipur Chapter
Abhishek Agrawal
Dear Members,
It has been a personal privilege to work with Mr Amitava Ghosh, Yi Raipur Chapter Chair, whose determination; grit and energy have been
the driving force for Yi Raipur chapter and its initiatives. I sincerely thank all the members of Yi Raipur Chapter for their continuous support
in making the events in and around Raipur a success. I am confident that the members will continue to extend their valuable support in
initiating and scaling up the activities and projects. I would also like to appreciate the energy, enthusiasm and zest of the team of Yi Raipur
Chapter who have made this year so successful.
It takes an individual to initiate a process and a small group to begin a movement. That quientessentially sums up what Yi is all about.
Yi as a body of likeminded individuals has been able to bring together young Indians from across the nation to follow a holistic approach to
nation-building where it is not just growth in business that becomes the point of focus, but growth that is also inclusive and reaches the less
fortunate. It is heartening to see the emphasis laid on reaching out to the less fortunate in society through various Yi initiatives being taken.
Although the Chhattisgarh’s economy has been growing steadily in the past few years, our State still faces many serious challenges. The Yi
movement has grown with strong moral and ethical values and is eager to help bring about positive changes in terms of establishing a new
set of priorities in terms of what to focus on, and also by doing things in a more ethical manner - reaffirming its commitment to its objectives
on Education, Employment, Health Care and the Environment.
Although Yi provides a platform for interactions between the various sections of society, this year emphasis should be on bringing together
the Members (industry leaders), the Students (Future of the country) and Farmers (Ground zero entrepreneurs). Together they will and
they can help the Government in making the right decisions and formulating suitable pieces of legislation. Thus giving it all back to society
wherein they are a part of the recipients of the fruits.
Yi is unique in its objectives, composition and lineage, and fortunate to play its role. We are confident that we are capable enough to
achieve our dreams. That is the importance of being a Young Indian!

inspired by the authors own experiences. During the ninety minutes session, Bhagat talked about his second book “Child & God” and how it has changed for him with age
and experience. Like most young people in their twenties, for Bhagat the essence of "LIFE" was synonymous with Lust, Idealism, Fun and Ego. However, as time
progressed, the definition of "LIFE" acquired a more meaningful flavor, centering on Love, Integrity, Freedom, Excellence and Risk.
Mr Amitava Ghosh, Chair, Yi Raipur Chapter and Ms Reginan Nitin, Chair, Learning Vertical, Yi Raipur Chapter welcomed Mr Bhagat to address the session. The writer
discussed about his book saying “If we assume to love for say 75 years, then that’s more than 39 million seconds. Yet a man’s most cherished second would most likely
be the birth of his child. Million of stories have been written about the Mother-child relationship but it is a fact that what father feels on seeing his child is something equally
divine and magical. In hospitals, everyone rejoices the birth of a child, no one notices the birth of fathers. Every Second, every wail signals two newborns- A baby, A
father.
