The first Yoshimura shop opened in 1954. Though Pops found himself tweaking planes, cars, and pretty much anything with a combustion engine, his true
passion was motorcycles. Yoshimura’s promise of performance and power lead
to a constant influx of orders and the shop boomed with business. But Pops
wanted more. His love of racing and his fascination with the legendary Daytona
200 fueled his move in 1971. Pops took leave of Yoshimura Japan and opened
Yoshimura Research and Development in Los Angeles, California. His singular
goal was to race Superbikes in Daytona.

Hideo “Pops” Yoshimura was born in 1922 in Fukuoka City, Japan. He was trained as a military
airplane mechanic, but after his time in the service, he made a name for himself working on the BSA
and Triumph motorcycles of American servicemen stationed in Japan in the 1950s. Pops’ reputation
as a master bike tuner grew boundlessly, thanks to his talent for hand altering stock parts to make
them perform more efficiently and produce more power.

DAYTONA
That goal and passion led to Yoshimura’s domination and success
in AMA Superbike over the last several decades. Over the last ten
years, Team Yoshimura Suzuki has won an unprecedented eight of
ten AMA Superbike championships. As we all know, motorcycling
passion never dies, so Pops made his way to Daytona every year
for his favorite race. Pops passed away in 1995, but his legacy will
live on forever in the history of Superbike racing. He was inducted
into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2000.

There are a couple of things you can count on in racing. One — things change.
And two — change brings out the best in true competitors. That means that 2012
is destined to be one of the most exciting seasons in years. The premiere racing
team in both Supercross and Motocross has changed its name to Team Yoshimura
Suzuki, and for 2012 Brett Metcalfe is representing the team aboard his Suzuki RMZ450. Metcalfe is back after winning his first Motocross event in 2011 — a good
sign since the win followed an injury-shortened 2011 Supercross season. Metcalfe
is joined by team manager Mike Webb, who established his reputation by leading
Suzuki to 22 major championships in the off-road sector. They are both campaigning with Suzuki Racing Advisor Ricky Carmichael, who has a legendary history with
Suzuki and as the man acknowledged to be the best Supercross and Motocross
racer of all time.
For 2012, Metcalfe and Team Yoshimura Suzuki will face fierce competition, and
that’s especially true this season because the leading teams in Supercross and
Motocross are all also benefitting from Yoshimura support. Those teams include
Team Rockstar Suzuki, led by riders Martin Davalos, Jason Anderson, Hunter Hewitt
and Blake Wharton. Team Honda Muscle Milk (HRC), led by Justin Brayton, Trey
Canard and Ashley Fiolek. And Team GEICO Honda, featuring Kevin Windham,
Justin Barcia, Eli Tomac, Justin Bogle, Wil Hahn and Jimmy Decotis. These teams
are filled with all-star riders battling for the top of the podium. And one thing you
can count on is that the tougher the competition, the more the top riders will shine.

With a tremendous combination of proven experience and raw talent, Team Yoshimura Suzuki’s
superbike riders have high hopes for the 2012 championship racing season. Both Blake Young — returning
for his fourth season with Yoshimura — and his new teammate, Chris Clark, will be campaigning aboard
Yoshimura-prepared Suzuki GSX-R1000s.
Team Yoshimura Suzuki’s Young had an outstanding racing season in 2011. He had seven race wins — more
than any other rider — and fell just short of taking away the championship, finishing second in the standings.
Chris Clark is new to Team Yoshimura Suzuki. Clark turned pro in 2009 and finished the year by receiving
the prestigious AMA Horizon Award, which honors the top amateur with the best prospects for a
professional career.
For Young and Clark, 2012 is the year they hope to build on Yoshimura Racing and American Suzuki’s
long history of dominating U.S. racing in AMA Superbike. Their goal is simple: dominate on the racetrack
and take their place with the factory Suzuki Superbike teams that have claimed 10 of the last 13 AMA
Superbike Championships!

Our methodology is key. We built a completely separate facility dedicated only to
Research & Development, enabling our talented R&D technicians to thrive in a focused
environment while continually raising the bar on product quality. The Yoshimura design
motto is simple and has not changed since the company’s inception: Make the best
parts possible, and never compromise.

MANUFACTURING
With our dedication to quality, producing exhaust pipes is no simple task, but our manufacturing group consistently pulls it off. The detail, handwork, and old-world craftsmanship that go
into making a Yoshimura product are impossible to replicate with a machine. The technicians
at work here are artists; the exhausts they produce their artwork. All of this talent, tools, and
raw metal come together to form the best exhaust systems in the world.

As motorcycle engine technology has advanced, so have exhaust systems.
Today, Yoshimura has invested millions of dollars in manufacturing equipment to ensure that we’re on the cutting edge of technology. Where tubes
used to be cut with hacksaws and bent by hand over a torch, we now have
CNC cut-off saws to accurately cut pipes to length while multi-level CNC
tube benders shape pipes to exact specifications.
The full systems are designed with nothing but power in mind. Our years
of experience and knowledgeable R&D technicians combine to make remarkable pipes. Add to that our inventory of more pipe bending tooling
than anyone in the business and we’ve got what it takes to make the best
products available.
Despite all of this equipment and some use of computer-controlled robot
welding machines, one constant remaining at Yoshimura is that our pipes
are welded by hand. No high-tech gadget or tool in the world could replicate the quality and incredible performance our racing and R&D groups
build into our exhausts. Yoshimura pipes are built at a level of quality that
few other companies can match.

The R-77D was born from the popular trapezoidal shaped R-77. The R-77 is serious
business when it comes to performance as it was designed with racetrack feedback
from racers like Blake Young. The R-77’s trapezoidal shape allows a large volume of
packing material and in turn delivers top performance. With a straight baffle and
removable low-volume insert, the R-77 muffler’s front cap is MIG-welded, while the end
cap is riveted using high-end 304-L polished stainless steel rivets and bands. You can get
the muffler in stainless steel, titanium, or race-inspired carbon fiber.
The R-77 comes as a slip-on muffler, which attaches simply onto the stock exhaust
mounting slip-fit, or on various full Yoshimura exhaust systems. The cone end caps come
in either polished stainless steel or carbon fiber and the slip-on itself is mounted with a
stainless steel mounting clamp.

TRAPEZOIDAL SHAPE
The R-77D is a dual-outlet version of the race-proven R-77. The R-77D boasts a
carbon fiber cone end cap and polished stainless steel dual outlet turndown.
The R-77D requires no inserts or restrictions, increasing muffler packing life, and
provides 5% more open exhaust outlet area and as much as 3 decibels lower sound output (compared to open standard R77). The R-77D also offers greater gains in bottom and
mid range power with out restrictive inserts.

The TRC-D features a tri-oval shape with
striking dual-outlet, turn-down stainlesstipped muffler and an ultra lightweight
carbon fiber cone cap. The dual taper
exhaust manages sound in both high-flow
and high-power applications. The TRCD boasts 304-L polished stainless steel
and MIG-welded construction with stainless, carbon, and titanium muffler sleeve
options. The TRC-D is available as a bolt-on

The TRC is second to none! It’s a race-proven
exhaust featuring a tri-oval design, trick coneshaped end cap, and an easily removable
low-volume insert.
The TRC has a straight baffle leading to that
distinct cone-shaped end cap. The cap is
available in stainless steel or carbon. The
muffler choices are 304-L polished stainless
steel, carbon fiber, or titanium. Both titanium
and carbon fiber sleeves come with carbon
fiber end caps for a truly sporty look. With an
optional low-volume insert, the TRC also comes
with a laser-etched heel guard that combines
style and function.
Available in either bolt-on or slip-on configuration,
the TRC attaches simply onto the OEM (stock)
exhaust mounting slip-fit or mounting flange.

The TRS offers the best of Yoshimura but with a
friendlier price tag. It’s a race-bred muffler that
has the clear look and sound of Yoshimura. We
never skimp on performance or style.
The straight baffle of the TRS leads to a singlemachined turn-down tip. Low volume insert
compatible.
The TRS comes as a bolt-on or slip-on muffler that attaches easily onto the OEM (stock)
exhaust mounting slip-fit or mounting flange

Developed in Japan by Fujio Yoshimura, the TRI
is a race-bred full exhaust system. It features
a handsome dual outlet, turn-down titaniumtipped muffler that produces a unique sound
note that is pleasing to the ears. The dual outlets
and overall design make the TRI visually pleasing
as well. Many of our customers believe that the
dual outlet tips combine with the tri-oval shape
to make the TRI one of the most eye-catching
pipes on the market.

RS-3 TITANIUM
The RS-3 mufflers feature a straight baffle that leads to a single
turn-down tipped aluminum end cap. The oval-shaped muffler is
capable of housing a low-volume Yoshimura insert.
Muffler sleeve options for the RS-3 include polished stainless steel,
titanium, and carbon fiber. A high-exit option is available for select
bike models.
The RS-3 comes as a bolt-on or slip-on muffler and of course attaches simply onto the OEM (stock) exhaust mounting slip-fit or mounting
flange. It can also attach to various full Yoshimura exhaust systems.
SINGLE-TIP OVAL
The RS-3 exhaust is race bred and has the unmistakable look and
sound of Yoshimura. It is also one of our most popular exhausts
because it’s a reasonably-priced alternative to some of our more
“exotic” mufflers. The RS-3 has the classic good looks preferred by
many riders and just like every single pipe we make, the RS-3 packs
a whole lot of performance into an attractive package.

The RS-3 has been one of Yoshimura’s signature
exhaust systems for years. This staple of our pipe
lineup has been given a little twist, and now we have
the RS-3C. It has the same classic shape as the
ever-popular RS-3 but with a carbon fiber end cap to
give it that trick look.
The RS-3C features stainless steel MIG-welded
construction with stainless sleeve option and slick
carbon cone end cap. It’s available in slip-on or bolt-on
configurations. The RS-3C is also offered in carbon and
titanium muffler sleeve options, but only for the 20082009 GSX1300R Hayabusa.

The R-55 is currently one of Yoshimura’s most popular pipes, and for good reason. It’s a hybrid of MotoGP,
Superbike, and Yoshimura style, which makes for a pretty
impressive package. Its asymmetrical shape appeals to
the eye and really captures the spirit of MotoGP racing. It
also complements the look of any sportbike, following the
race-inspired lines of today’s motorcycles.
The R-55 features a straight baffle with a removable lowvolume insert. The pipe is TIG-welded to Yoshimura quality
standards and is made of high-quality polished stainless
steel. From there, you have the option of a polished stainless steel or carbon fiber end cap. The laser mounting
bracket is TIG-welded to ensure strength and good looks.
You can get the R-55 as a slip-on muffler, which attaches
simply to the stock exhaust mounting slip-fit, or on our various full Yoshimura exhaust systems.

The last standing 750cc sport bike brings to light the best that motorcycling has to offer.
Nearly identical to the GSX-R600 but with a lot more horsepower, the GSX-R750 has a
high-performance engine in a lightweight frame. Because they’re similar, the 2008-2009
GSX-R750 and 600 share pipes. So, all of the options for one fit the other. During testing,
the same specifications worked best on both bikes, which is pretty handy as far as we’re
concerned.

The GSX-R600 is one of the most popular Suzuki motorcycles, and for good reason.
It’s fun, handles well, and looks sharp. Yoshimura’s exhaust products for the 600 are

If you’ve got a DR-Z400SM, you’ve got options when it comes to exhausts. The RS-2 singlesided system is a great all-around pipe that’s lightweight, has good ground clearance, and
gives you big power gains. And it looks cool. If that’s not enough, it comes with the little touches
and features you’ve come to expect from Yoshimura. It has a plasma-cut heat shield with our
Yoshimura logo, high-quality chrome steel exhaust springs, and even spring vibration

Honda is synonymous with innovative, forward-thinking, high-quality motorcycles, and that’s
why they’re the biggest name in two wheels. Their lineup is a veritable “who’s who” of
machinery. The Honda 1000 and 600 are awesome bikes that take kindly to being hopped up.
They have great track manners and stout engines that are ready to be built up. Yoshimura
pipes are a natural choice when it comes to kicking the Big Red machines up a notch.
Yoshimura has dedicated a lot of time and effort to the 1000 and 600 Honda’s. Take a look at
the laser-etched heat shields that come with our pipes to make a visual impact. And of course
the performance is typical Yoshimura—strong! Strap one of our pipes on your Honda and you’ll
experience the power that more than 50 years of racing has taught us.

The flagship CBR1000RR represents the ultimate in Honda liter-bike performance, and the RR’s
low weight and low center of gravity is perfectly complemented by our Yoshimura low-mount
R-77 exhaust. The R-77 slip-on goes on low and comes with an aluminum alloy heat shield that
replaces the integrated stock lower bodywork on the stock exhaust. The anodized Yoshimura
heat shield bolts straight onto our tail-pipe and has a laser-etched Yoshimura logo. Not only
is this one good-looking pipe, but the included heat shield has that “race” look that your RR
loves. Options are titanium, stainless, or carbon fiber sleeves with carbon fiber or stainless steel
end caps.

Yoshimura RS-5 undertail exhausts are a perfect match for the mid-sized CBR600RR Honda.
The round outlet improves power delivery and produces more horsepower than the old
elliptical design. You’ll get an increase of almost 5 hp with our Stainless/TI Full System over the
stock setup. Plus, the RS-5 looks amazing! But the RS-5 pipe won’t just improve the aesthetics;
you’ll get the power, quality and fit you’ve come to expect from Yoshimura.
Honda CBR250R
For beginning riders, the ideal motorcycle is lightweight and has a broad powerband with
plenty of low-revving torque. And that’s exactly what the CBR250R offers, thanks largely to
its fuel-injected single-cylinder engine. Our TRC Slip-On Exhaust and Full System are great
ways to get even more out of the CBR250R. The TRC Slip-On has a sporty tri-oval design and
a cone-shaped end cap. And you can choose from 304-L polished stainless steel, carbon
fiber or titanium mufflers, in either bolt-on or slip-on configurations.

Yamaha YZF-R1
We don’t know if we could choose between the R6 and the R1, because Yamaha has made
them both so amazing. These blazing-fast Yamahas are wonderful to look at, and they pack
quite a punch when you flick the throttle. The Yoshimura pipes for these bikes are built of a
similar concept: good-looking, lightweight and powerful. When you add a Yoshimura pipe
to your Yamaha, it’s like motorcycle magic.
The MotoGP-inspired R1 has been through quite a transformation since its introduction. It now features a crossplane
crankshaft with a unique firing order that makes a big
bang! Yamaha engineers set out to make the R1 produce
smooth power and tons of torque while putting it all in
a visually stunning package. They definitely hit the mark.
Yoshimura’s undertail slip-ons are the perfect setup for
this hot-looking bike. The undertail R1 twin TRC-D’s are
works of art, and we’d readily argue that the Yoshimura
TRC-D’s are by far the best looking R1 pipes on the market.
The undertail R77 ¾ system, which includes Y-pipe,
makes this great bike even better with its perfect fit and
awesome performance.

The BMW S1000RR is a sport bike initially manufactured by BMW Motorrad to compete in the 2009
Superbike World Championship that is now in commercial production. It was introduced in Munich in
April 2008, and is powered by a 999 cc inline-4 engine that redlines at 14,200 rpm. The S1000RR includes a
number of high-tech features including ABS and traction control. Yoshimura is offering a number of exhaust
system options for the S1000RR including the R77 high mount slip-on (in both titanium and carbon), the R77

The RS-4D boasts a unique dual-outlet design that increases
the amount of open area at the exhaust outlet. With dual internal baffles, the RS-4D increases the exhaust gas flow rate,

slip-on or full exhaust system and the adjustability is limitless
and easy. If those two maps are not enough, there are dozens
of maps downloadable for FREE on the Yoshimura website.
No matter what pipe brand or engine modification configuration you have, we have map
downloads available from the Yoshimura website that make it easy to obtain maps for
virtually any application. Simply plug your laptop into the PIM-2 through a supplied USB cable
and you can custom make your own fuel injection maps in minutes.
Data Box
The optional DATA kit consists of an air fuel
sensor and amplifier box that plugs into the
PIM-2 and allows for self-mapping of the
motorcycle. Self-mapping means that as
the user runs the bike on a dyno or on a
closed course, the DATA Box automatically
calculates the required fuel adjustment at
each RPM and throttle position to reach
the user-selectable target air fuel ratio.
The DATA Box offers an alternative way
for mapping without the time or cost of a custom dyno tune. For the rider looking for maximum performance, a dyno tune together with the DATA is the way to go. The DATA Box mapping software allows
for the user to easily enter the target air fuel ratio, start, stop, and review the results of the self-mapping
function. Once the recommended adjustments have been reviewed, the user can either apply all of the
suggested adjustments or just a certain range with a few simple clicks of the mouse.
The kit comes with all of the required hardware, but may require modification of the exhaust pipe to accept
the air fuel sensor fitting.
Camshafts
Yoshimura has been making high-end
camshafts for more than 50 years. We

EM Pro
The EM Pro is the most advanced state-of-the-art engine management system available for the newer GSXRs.
If you want improved throttle response, smooth dyno curves and unprecedented performance, the EM Pro is just
what you need. Unlike other units, the EM Pro has integrated both fuel and ignition management – each storing
up to two completely custom maps. Along with complete engine management control, the GSX-R1000 kit features race-inspired over-rev adjustment, 3-level engine brake adjustment, and speed limit adjustment for those
coming hot into the pits! The EM Pro has become the pinnacle of complete engine management systems in the
past year and hundreds of hours of dyno testing and development is what sets this system apart from the rest.

Full Race Harness
After getting your bike race ready by removing the unnecessary electrical components, what do you do with all
of those empty outlets on your stock wiring harness? You can’t leave them dangling to snag on moving parts or
your leathers! We have the solution: a Full Race Harness for the Suzuki GSX-R!
Yoshimura’s Full Race Harness maintains what is necessary to race the bike. It eliminates the outlets for lights, turn
signals, horns, switches, etc., thus providing a lighter and simpler harness to work with. In racing, every bit counts
and so does your safety. This Full Race Harness is necessary when running the EM Pro on a race bike and allows
you to utilize all of the EM Pro’s features, including the clutchless upshift option or “Quick Shift”.

SINGLE-CYLINDER ENGINE SERVICES
ISF Process
Yoshimura has an in-house Isotropic Superfinishing Process (ISF) department,
and that’s where we can blueprint your engine’s gear sets just as it’s done on
Formula 1 machines. This technology allows your engine to run more freely through
decreased friction and proper interaction of reciprocating parts.
Even though typical ISF treatments include gear sets and internal transmission parts,
all of the reciprocating parts will benefit from the ISF process. We use this same
process on our 240-horsepower Superbike racing engines, as well as 70-horsepower
Motocross/ATV racing mills. The mirror-like finish reduces friction on all reciprocating
surfaces, reducing drag and increasing durability. It also reduces heat significantly,
which makes for a smoother-running engine. After ISF treatment, every reciprocating
part interacts smoothly and the combined reduction in friction unleashes previously
trapped power.

ATV & Off-Road Engine Kits
If you want to win, you’ll need the best engine performance you can get. Yoshimura
offers three basic levels of engine performance upgrades.
Stage 1 is the basic hop-up that best fits the average racer. This is the correct choice
if you are racing in the C or B class (beginner or novice). Stage 1 has excellent
reliability yet gives the racer a healthy dose of power when used in conjunction with
a Yoshimura pipe.
Stage 2 is for the racer who is a top contender in the intermediate or B class. The
compression is upped, the head modified, and a Yoshimura billet cam tops off the
Stage 2 list. The increase in compression will require more maintenance, but all in
all, the Stage 2 engine kit provides a very strong yet reliable engine. Stage 2A is a
completely assembled engine.
Stage 3 is a full-tilt racing engine featuring big horsepower gains. This is the choice
for a serious amateur or pro rider who is looking to win and will accept nothing less
than the best. Every part of a Stage 3 engine is manicured or modified; even the gear
sets and internal transmission parts are polished and matched using our in-house
Yoshimura Isotropic Surface Finish Process. Stage 3 is a completely assembled engine.

If you have a fitment, missing part, or other problem, please check the following
troubleshooting guide first.
1. First, reference your instructions sheet and check all drawings and instructions.
2. Make sure muffler clamps are installed correctly (refer to diagram). Also, verify part numbers
on header and tailpipe.
3. Always install spigots and manifolds on cylinder head prior to installing headers.
4. Always take time to examine problems in detail.

handy: Year/make/model of motorcycle, date of purchase, place of purchase, batch dates and

EXTENT OF WARRANTY:
All orders will be shipped COD unless other arrangements have been made. Yoshimura reserves the
right to specify collection by certified check, money order, or company check. Personal checks are
not accepted. Dealers wishing to open an account should request an application. All open accounts
are paid 30 days from invoice date.
Any defective exhaust system properly returned to Yoshimura will be repaired or replaced by
Yoshimura. Yoshimura is not responsible for any other expense incurred by the customer under the
terms of this limited warranty, nor is Yoshimura responsible for any damages, either consequential,
incidental, special, contingent, or otherwise, or expenses or injury arising directly or indirectly from
the use of exhaust system. Any exhaust system returned to Yoshimura must be sent at the customer’s
expense along with the proof of purchase and the warranty authorization. Yoshimura reserves the
right to determine whether the terms of warranty, set out above, have been properly followed. In
the event that the terms are not followed, this warranty is void. Yoshimura is the sole determinate
of abuse, misuse, installation errors and modifications and should any of these be found, this
warranty is void. The duration of any and all implied warranties are limited to the duration of the
express warranty. All incidental or consequential damages are hereby excluded. The warranty gives
you specific legal rights and you may have other rights, which vary from state to state. Some states
do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, or limitations on
how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations and exclusions may not apply to you.
SHIPPING:
All orders are FOB Chino, California. Orders received before 2:30 PST will ship the same day or the
next business day if the item is in stock. We will ship by the most reasonable means based on the
volume of the order, unless otherwise specified.
SPECIAL ORDERS:
All special order items must be paid in full before the order is placed. These items are non-returnable
and no refund will be given. All special order items will be shipped freight collect.
LIABILITY:
The purchaser of any parts releases the manufacturer of those parts and Yoshimura from all liabilities pertaining to use of the parts. The purchaser recognizes that any alteration or modifications to
any motorcycle may increase the risk of accident and/or injury and may also render the motorcycle
illegal for use on public roads.

RETURNS:
No item will be accepted for return without prior approval. All approved returns must be accompanied with a return authorization (RA) number and must be in new and unused condition. All RA
numbers must be clearly displayed on the outside of the box. All returns are subject to restocking
fees, not to exceed 20%. No return will be accepted on closeout or discontinued items, or purchases older than 90 days. Refunds are issued in the form of like payment. All refused shipments
are subject to a 20% restock fee and all applicable freight charges.

1. Abuse, misuse, improper installation and modifications. 2. No proof of purchase at the time
of warranty. Claimant must provide proof of purchase (original receipt or invoice) and a
warranty authorization number obtained from Yoshimura. 3. Finishes with discoloration or rust due to
inclement weather conditions, exposure to salt, exposure to chemicals, or lack of maintenance by the
customer are not covered. 4. Electrical parts are not covered under warranty.
