Asit Tripathy is a Singer/Performer/Composer based out of Mumbai/Bangalore has been into the
field of Music from past 8 Years.
He is a self-taught musician having no formal training in Music and was among the finalists of
some of the biggest singing reality shows in our country like Indian Idol 5 and SAMSUNG [V]
SUPERSINGER.
During these shows he not only won the heart of the viewers but also the
judges who witnessed his exceptional talent.
Having stayed in various parts of the country his musical taste doesn’t
confine to a single genre.
He shares the same comfort level singing old songs and the contemporary
music because of the same.
ACHIEVEMENTS
REALITY SHOWS
Asit participated in various reality shows during the period 2004-2010 and was
among the Top 5 Finalists in SAMSUNG [V] SUPERSINGER in the year 2005 and
was in Top 16 finalists of Indian Idol 5 in the year 2010.
Also, he got some great remarks for his singing by big stalwarts like
A.R.Rehman, Himesh Reshammiya, Anu malik, Salim Merchant, Sunidhi
Chauhan to name a few during these shows.
PRIVATE ALBUMS
Asit has also sung for various private albums, best of the lot being the
‘SUPERSINGER ALBUM’ which was released by TIMES MUSIC and was
well promoted on major music channels like Channel [V] and MTV.
Especially the song KESARIYA sung by him and composed by the very
known face in the Indi pop scene Dr. Palash Sen was well appreciated by
music critics from all around the country.
Asit has collaborated with music director Saikat roy and is
working towards his next single ‘Sun bhi le’ which will be
showcased in the forthcoming Bollywood production.
PLAYBACK SINGING
Asit has recently sung 2 songs for a kannada movie “BE MECHANICAL”
which is scheduled to be released by next year.
