Thank you for joining us tonight for the 3rd Annual Rebecca’s Hope Charity Cruise. We would like to
express our heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming support that you have given to Rebecca’s Hope and to
leukemia research at Princess Margaret Hospital.
Rebecca’s hope was to make a difference in the world and with your help she has. With her zest for life,
courageous spirit and contagious smile, Rebecca has inspired us all to be “strong together”, and make a
difference in her memory by supporting the leukemia researchers in their search for a cure. Your attendance
this evening and your generous donations are helping us realize Rebecca’s hope.
We are happy to share with you that the funds raised from the past two Rebecca’s Hope cruises ($500,000)
have already made a difference with the financial support of a clinical trial nurse and other study aspects
related to improved treatments in the fight against leukemia. A large portion of these funds helped make the
construction of a long awaited comfort lounge for patients and their families on the 14th floor. (see below)
All proceeds from tonight’s event will continue to support and assist the dedicated researchers at Princess
Margaret Hospital.
Today, many leukemia patients courageously battle this disease with hope – a hope that is so compassionately
given to them and their families by the dedicated doctors, nurses, and support staff at Princess Margaret
Hospital. On their behalf we would like to thank you for your partnership in this fight to help make a
difference in their lives.
Let’s make this a night to celebrate and honour our Rebecca’s tireless spirit!

Research has shown that a comfortable, nurturing environment in addition to the support of loved
ones helps to build the positive attitude necessary for wellness and recovery. We are proud to
announce that this fall will mark the grand opening of a very important room designed exclusively
for the patients on the 14th floor at Princess Margaret Hospital. The project with the support of
many donors has been several years in the works, but thanks to the overwhelming support of
Rebecca’s Hope donors the dream of hospital staff and their patients’ families has come true. The
14th Floor Lounge will offer a comfortable, just-like-home space where patients and their family
and friends can get together and relax, watch TV, play computer games, read a good book or enjoy
a meal together. Thank you for helping to make their dream come true!
