WE THANK OUR HEALTHCARE SPONSORS
RACE FOR THE CURE. EMPOWER THE PROMISE.
Nancy G. Brinker promised her dying sister, Susan G. Komen, she
would do everything in her power to end breast cancer forever.
In 1982, that promise became Susan G. Komen for the Cure and
launched the global breast cancer movement to save lives and
end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality
care for all and energizing science to find the cures.
When you Race for the Cure in Philadelphia, you renew that
promise to women here at home… and around the world.
When you Race for the Cure, you join more than 100,000 breast
cancer survivors and activists around the globe as part of the
world’s largest and most progressive grassroots network fighting
breast cancer.
When you Race for the Cure, you enable the Komen Philadelphia
Affiliate to invest millions of dollars in local breast health and
breast cancer awareness projects in our 13-county service area,
as well as offer innovative outreach programs for the AfricanAmerican, Latina, Asian-American, Korean, Jewish and Islamic
communities in need.
