NON-RVSM PITOT STATIC TEST SYSTEMS
DPST-3500M - Digital Pitot Static Test Set
A Pitot Static Test Set for general aviation and helicopter service.
The model DPST-3500M digital pitot static test set is a precision test set with
dual channel pressure controller, designed to provide regulated total pressure
(PT) and static pressure (PS) outputs to simulate altitude, airspeed and vertical
speed parameters. The test set can also be used in a laboratory environment to
calibrate altimeters and airspeed gauges in maintenance shops or harsh hangar
environments. The test set is compact and light weight, with a durable sensor and
display and can fit in the overhead compartment on most commercial airliners.

The model DPST-7200A digital pitot static test set is a fully automated flight line
dual channel pressure controller designed to provide regulated total pressure
(PT) and static pressure (PS) outputs to simulate altitude, airspeed and vertical
speed parameters. The test set can also be used in a laboratory environment to
calibrate instrumentation and other test equipment. A handheld remote terminal
provides the operator full control of test set function while observing altimeters,

The model UNIV-20-40 is a precision, manually controlled, portable, flightline
digital static test set. This single channel test set is designed to provide regulated

PSIM-104 - Pitot / Static Isolation Manifold
The PSIM-104 saves time and effort in performing multiple system air data tests,
and increasing aircraft availability by reducing maintenance costs. Each pitot-static
channel can also be quickly isolated via quick turn (1/4) shut off valves to allow
independent isolation of a specific air data system. The PSIM-104 significantly
enhances flight line operations when connected to DFW INSTRUMENTS digital
pitot/static test sets (DPST-8000 series or DPST-9000 series).
For use with general aviation, commercial, corporate, and military aircraft. It uses
manually selected color coded red and blue valve systems to connect an air data
test set to dual pilot, co-pilot, angle of attack and standby pitot/static systems
simultaneously. Accessories include: color coded hose set, AN-4 connectors (size
options are available). Storage available within lid compartment.

ZSAY-3 - Aircraft Universal Static Adapter
The model ZSAY-3 is an original design to help speedup and enhance your FAR
91.411 static leak checks. This light weight unit is extremely durable and convenient
for day to day use in aircraft hangar, ramp, and line service environments. The
static adapter provides a proven simple method to attach any pitot / static test Set
to the static system without breaking lines. There is no residue, or marring of the
skin associated with other methods of sealing the static port. The adapter has a
center cup that covers the static port and 3 articulating legs with suction cups to
hold the adaptor in place utilizing the strong vacuum system, which secures to the
fuselage while testing.
 Universal adapter is designed to fit most general aviation and military aircraft
fuselage static ports.

SCZ-106 - Master Sight Compass
Our SCZ-106 is used to check calibration of an aircraft mounted wet compass.
The sight compass tester is a portable, self-contained calibration device containing
a master wet compass, which has been calibrated to indicate 180° from North.
This allows the operator to stand facing the aircraft, making it considerable easier
to transmit signals to and from the cockpit. The SCZ-106 is unique in that it has an
added laser sighting target system for ease of precision alignment and accuracy.
 The sight compass comes with a small hand grip, calibration certificate, a brass
calibration screwdriver and a storm case for protection when not in use.
 The compass is mounted on a ABS plastic case that can be attached to either the
handle or the camera / tripod assembly.
 All external parts of the sight compass, such as the external case, handle, sighting
system, tripod and Associated mounting hardware, were designed of materials that will
not effect the magnetic accuracy of the sight compass.

A transponder is an avionic system located on board the aircraft that provides information
about the aircraft identification and barometric altitude to the ATC system on the ground
and to TCAS on other aircraft. The reply from the transponder is also used by radar on
the ground to determine the position of the aircraft. The information to the ground is
provided in response to an interrogation by systems such as secondary surveillance radar
(SSR) or multilateration systems. ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Broadcast)
capable transponders also allow the aircraft to ‘broadcast’ information to ground stations
and other aircraft without interrogation. Transponders are not just carried by commercial
aircraft they are also used by helicopters, military aircraft, General Aviation, gliders and
UAS. Some airside ground vehicles are also equipped with transponders.

ALT-8000 FMCW - Pulse Radio Altimeter Test Set
Aeroflex’s ALT-8000 is the world’s first and only RF-based portable radio altimeter
flightline test set. It weighs approximately 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) with a large 12-inch color
touch-screen, making it easy to use.
The ALT-8000 is a universal test set for 4.3 GHz FMCW (frequency modulated continuous
carrier wave) radio altimeters and pulse radio altimeters. The simulator is also designed

DYNAMIC BALANCING & VIBRATION ANALYSIS
The dynamic components in aircraft engines and propeller systems are manufactured
to very strict limits, but even when these limits are adhered to, unbalance errors can
occur. These errors result from a “stack up” of small unbalances in the engine, rotor
and propeller system that is installed in the aircraft.
When undesirable vibration is detected, some of the components of the propulsion
system, notably the propeller and spinner assembly can be spin trim balanced to
improve the running vibration levels of the entire system.
Balancing the propulsion assembly can provide substantial reductions in transmitted
vibration and noise to the cabin and also reduces excessive damage to other aircraft
and engine components. Remember that propeller smoothing is not a “cure all” for
every vibration you feel in the aircraft.
Spin trim balancing will only improve the vibration caused by mass unbalance of
the externally rotating components of the propulsion system. Balancing will not
improve the vibration if the engine or aircraft is in poor mechanical condition.

Model 1015 ProBalancer Sport
The Model 1015 ProBalancer Sport is the most economical option in the aviation
propeller balancing industry and performs propeller balancing that combines the
economy of an entry-level balancer with the accuracy that exceeds any capabilities
available in other entry or mid – level instruments.
The 1015 ProBalancer Sport also incorporates the ACES Systems’ hallmark of ease
of use. Fill-in-the- blank or option selection screens prompt you through the entire
balancing process. The 1015 ProBalancer Sport’s low cost, quick replaceable
batteries allow you to operate without time loss. Batteries changed without fear of
data loss. Use either NiMH rechargeable or standard 1.5-volt AA batteries.
 Ideal for ULM & General Aviation
 Tachometer Inputs +/- 2 %, 300 to 6000 RPM.
 Sensor types: only accepts STI CP 0907003 accelerometer. Output is 10 m V per g and

2-Channel Analyzer for Vibration Analysis & Balancing
The New COBRA II dynamic analyzer is a next generation Model 2020HR analyzer and
an offshoot of the successful VIPER II launched in 2014. It’s faster, smarter, and more
versatile than the Model 2020HR. AvTrend, a communications software, is no longer
necessary to transfer, display and analyze data.
The COBRA II enhances its capability by providing solutions as a standard feature
and directly generating PDF reports that store on a USB flash drive for portability.
Application notes and eSetups are available to download directly to the analyzer via
the web. The COBRA II also has a new transmissive, full-color screen that is much
larger and can be easily viewed in direct sunlight.
The COBRA II continues the legacy of the Model 2020HR by improving upon current

Model VIPER II Vibration and Performance Analyzer
The VIPER II is a versatile yet compact instrument that combines all of the diverse
technologies required for high-end engine vibration analysis, transient balancing, rotor
track and balance, fan trim balancing, propeller balancing and acoustic analysis into
one tool. All of these aviation maintenance analysis functions can be easily performed
on virtually any airframe and engine type using the VIPER II.
Transient Balancing
With the increased performance of the VIPER II, transient balancing comes to the flight
line in a single piece of ground support equipment. Transient balancing provides an
automated method of monitoring all engine speeds during a balance run giving test
cell-quality balance results to flight line technicians. Due to heavy computational
requirements, this procedure was not previously possible.
What is Transient Balance?
Transient Balance is an automated method of monitoring all engine speeds during a balance run eliminating the need
to manually select and dwell at specific speeds. Thus, saving you time & money and eliminating human error.
 Time-Savings: removes need to dwell at specific speeds and reduces turn time for overhauls and maintenance.
 Cost-Savings: reduces labor expenses, reduces fuel consumption, reduces “Power by the Hour” operating expense and provides a quieter and smoother ride.
 Eliminates Human Error: no longer requires manually selecting the vibration peaks during a balance run and no longer relies on a vibration survey to identify
adverse vibration levels at specific speeds.
Transient Vibration Analysis
Accurate High-Speed Run-up and Coast-Down Transient Surveys The VIPER II offers striking capability in a compact, portable package.
At approximately 2.8 kg, powered by an internal battery and using minimal cabling, the VIPER II delivers vibration analysis at speed and
accuracy levels typically available only in manufacturer test cells. Vibration data acquired from up to four channels simultaneously at the
rate of 10 spectra per second are recorded at frequency levels to 30 kHz per channel. Antialiasing filters are used with a Fast Fourier
Transform (FFT) to convert data from time to frequency at resolutions of 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600 and 3200 lines. The flexible architecture
of the VIPER II allows you to use virtually any sensor type.
Track and Balancing: Quick, Automated Track and Balance Solutions
The compact VIPER II provides accurate solutions in the minimum number of runs, saving costly run time and fuel. Setups are entered into
the analyzer which can be customized by the user to accommodate virtually any engine and airframe type. Hundreds of setups can be
stored in the VIPER II and recalled for quick reuse.
Using the VIPER II’s ChartBuilder™ function, influence and adjustment criteria from polar charts can be entered and stored in setups so
that raw data acquired is automatically translated into easy-to-follow adjustment solutions such as “inboard tab up 2 degrees.” With each
run, the analyzer adjusts and refines the solution based on data gathered during previous runs, taking into account the unique properties
of each setup and automatically shortening the process until vibration is reduced to the lowest level possible. The flexible VIPER II allows
you to use any type of tachometer, detecting speeds up to 60,000 RPM. Tach input is used to synchronously sample and average data,
reporting phase accurately within 1 degree.
 The computing power necessary for sampling, storing and processing large amounts of data is available to the on-wing technician.
 Balance results correlate directly with vibration measurements because the data is taken under similar engine loading conditions.
 With ACES Artificial Intelligence, balances are continually adjusted for changing engine responses to weight adjustments.

The model 1752B JEDA (Jet Engine Data Acquisition Module) is an engine
performance module specially designed to operate with the ACES Systems’
VIPER II analyzer and Honeywell’s MEDRA software package. The integrated
1752B package includes hardware module, EMS software, and cabling.
The JEDA, combined with a VIPER II analyzer and MEDRA software, forms
a complete interactive test system for performing vibration surveys, fan
balancing, and engine performance testing of all TFE731 engines.
Collecting data with the JEDA gives you a precise, repeatable method
of measuring engine efficiency and performance. The data is accurate
because it is computed in averages rather than from a single point in
time. The JEDA collects averages of temperatures, pressures, and speeds
from the engine and transfers the data to a personal computer. Engine
performance and efficiency can be immediately plotted using the MEDRA
software package.

Radome Moisture Meter
Aircraft radome integrity is critical to the performance of today’s sophisticated radar
transmissions. Moisture that collects in the honeycomb cells cause damage that
degrades radar operation. The A8-AF is a proven, reliable and simple hand-held
moisture meter used by aircraft maintenance facilities to detect this moisture. Over
900 meters have been sold to hundreds of service centers worldwide, including
those that support the largest commercial airliners and military branches.
The model A8-AF consists of two basic components: the electrode sensor and the
metering unit. These components are connected by a ± 80 cm cable attached
with interchangeable push-in connectors. The separate electrode sensor permits
testing in remote areas, and the simple operating procedures allow the model A8AF to be used by both technical and non-technical operators.

Weld-Xtm for spot welding & welding repairs
The high arc temperatures generated by the Weld-X™ easily fuse all standard
thermocouple materials, including platinum and tungsten. Wires can be welded in
pairs in gages of #20 or finer, and individually for gauges as heavy as #16.
Welded surface connections to ferrous materials are generally the strongest and
most easily made. However, very satisfactory direct attachments can be made to
aluminum, titanium, copper, and zinc based alloys.

Our range of Sinepower aircraft power units are designed to offer solutions for
each power need and for all aircraft sizes. Our ground power units range from
30 to 200 KVA solid-state ground power supplies (mobile and fixed units). The
standard units range is: 30KVA; 45KVA; 60KVA and 90KVA. Custom made units
are also perfectly possible.
These ground power units deliver an output of 200V 3 phase 400 Hz to the aircraft
through a single or dual output contactor and can be connected to a standard
380V to 415V 3 phase 50Hz mains or other.
Other than single and dual output units we also offer “combi units” that include
an additional 28VDC output and static frequency converters that convert the
source power with a specific input voltage and frequency in to a different output

Portable Start Power Units
Our range of Red Box start power units offers the most powerful hand portable
battery packs available. These power packs are specially designed to start aircraft
from the very smallest up to the largest business jets. They can start piston,
turboprop or turbine aircraft and helicopters in the field or in remote locations.
Our power units are “all weather” units and modular. The set up is fast and the

A range of voltages (12V, 24V and 28V) and power capacities are available.
However a few aircraft will only start from 28V DC, for that reason Red Box has

Static Frequency Converters
Sinepower static frequency converters (solid state) have no moving parts, except
for the fans to cool the systems down, and are highly efficient units (up to 95%
efficiency). Our high frequency IGBT technology (rectifier and inverter) guarantees
a perfect sinewave input current with low THDi (THDi) to achieve a high quality
output under all load conditions. The systems are designed with PFC (Power Factor
Correction), thereby reducing input current and harmonic distortion.

Ground Power Units + 28 VDC COMBI
Sinepower’s GPU&DC units were designed with power factor correction to
guarantee a perfect sinusoidal input current from 25% to 150% load and a low THDi
(<1.5%). The 28VDC offers a solid-state ground power supplies that range from
300 A continuous – 1200 A Peak load and 600 A continuous – 2400 A Peak load.

R1L-BR1 Micro-Ohmmeter and Bond Tester
The TEGAM model R1L-BR1 bond meter is a purpose built, rechargeable battery
powered portable instrument for ground bond measurements. The R1L-BR1

R1M-A Megohmmeter
The model R1M-A is a portable megohmmeter designed to measure high values
of resistance associated with the measurement of insulation resistance. It has six
resistance ranges from 1 MΩ full scale to 200 GΩ full scale. Four test voltages
of 50, 100, 250, and 500 volts DC are provided (50 V maximum to be used with
resistances less than 1 MΩ). Resistance readings are displayed on a 3 1⁄2 digit
LCD.
The R1M-A is packaged in a rugged, weather tight case, designed to withstand
the wear and tear of industrial and military applications, and has a gasket lid. An
internal compartment is provided to store the line cord and a set test cables.

The model R1M-B handheld voltmeter/megohmmeter is designed to measure
insulation resistance in “live” circuits, which may have voltage present. It can be
connected to 600 V RMS AC or DC without damage, and its mode of operation is
automatic. It has no fuse to replace.
The R1M-B will operate after a drop from a height of four feet to a concrete
floor. All units are tested in an environmental chamber at 71° C and 95.5% RH.
The R1M-B complies with MIL-PRF-28800, Type III, Class 3, Style E for rugged
operational environments and shipboard applications. These units perform under
the extremes of heat, cold, humidity, shock, vibration, and operator abuse.

The model 110A Safety Voltmeter is the only single switch, single range, digital
voltmeter that automatically measures AC & DC volts to 1000 V for voltage

Kelvin Probes
Hand-held probes with small pins. The probes enable four-wire measurements in
places inaccessible with other probes. Another unique feature is their ergonomics.
The probes are designed to minimize hand fatigue in bench and field service
applications. When used with TEGAM’s R1L bond meters or the 1740 or 1750
micro-ohmeters, they enable engineers and technicians to more easily make fourwire bonding and other low-resistance measurements.
 BKP-10 Kelvin probes are designed for heavy-duty applications where you must make
four-wire surface resistance measurements on bonds and other metallic surfaces. Pinto-pin spacing is 0.19-in. (4.8 mm), available in three types of pins, including a spear
point pin, a flat point pin for making surface resistance measurements, and a serrated
pin when a coating must be pierced.
 MKP-6 and MKP-1750/5 Kelvin probes are designed for making four-wire surface
resistance measurements in tighter spaces. Pin-to-pin spacing is 0.11-in. (2.8 mm).
Available in five types of pins, including a spear point pin, a flat point pin, a serrated pin,
a spherical point pin, and a rotating pin.
 MCP-6 and MCP-1750/5 Kelvin probes are designed for making four-wire surface
resistance measurements where space is at a premium. This probe uses a unique
coaxial pin with a 0.63-in. diameter that allows four-wire resistance measurements in
very tight spaces.

These helicopter moving units offer the ability to move skidded and non-skidded
helicopters up to 5 Tonne (11,000Lbs) MTOW.

PROJECT: BRUSSELS AIRLINES
Aerotecs N.V. was selected by Brussels Airlines Maintenance Department to
fully manage replacing their Frequency Converters with new, more efficient
units, to lower energy consumption and increase conversion rate.
The hangar where the units are housed is divided into three sections, with
each section having its own Frequency Converter Unit. Each unit is made
up of a central column and two 120kVA Frequency Converters, powering
two groups of three pits. One of the 3 units has a 7th output to power a
workstation with up to 30kVA.
The brief set out by Brussels Airlines was to design the innovative pit
distribution and aircraft interlocking system. Each of the three units
provides 6 x 115VAC 3 phase 400Hz outputs. Aerotecs did the entire
projectmanagement from the design to the installation of the units.
Brussels Airlines Hangar 41 is now fully ready to power 3 Airbus A330 at the
same time at full capacity, whilst in the meantime powering a remote repair
workshop for servicing coffeemakers and ovens.
Every project is done with the highest care for the customer’s requirements.

Certified Calibration- & Repair Center
Aerotecs in Belgium has its own ISO 9001 certified and OEM authorized
repair and calibration facility. We calibrate your measuring equipment to the
required standards in our standard turn-around time of 72 hours.
Given our expertise and proximity, you can be sure that your equipment can
be put back into operation again within the shortest possible period of time.
And in the event your equipment needs repair that takes longer than the
usual turn-around-time, Aerotecs can offer you free of charge loaner units,
so you can continue your maintenance tasks.
If required, Aerotecs can manage all your calibrations, even if those brands
are not supported in our own ISO 9001 certified calibration center, so you
would only have one contact and one address to send your equipment too.
Aerotecs also offers service contracts for calibrations and/or for on-site
equipment maintenance. So you can be assured, that your equipment is in
top-condition when you need it.
