From the A483
Exit the A483 signposted for Wrexham and Mold, A.541. The slip road takes you
onto a roundabout – take the exit marked for Town/Glyndŵr University (if travelling
from Chester, this is the first exit; if travelling from Oswestry, this is the third exit).
At the next roundabout take the exit marked for the hospital, i.e. turn right. At the
next mini roundabout, take the first exit.
Take the second exit at the next roundabout (almost straight in front of you). This is
the entrance to the Medical Institute and Croesnewydd Hall. When you enter the site,
the road will bear to the left – you need to take the road in front of you and drive up
through two sets of gates to the front of the Hall, where there is a small car park.
From the A55
Exit the A55 at the Wrexham/Chester exit. Take the A483 towards Wrexham and
follow the directions above.
Rail and Bus links
There are regular rail and bus links to Wrexham via Chester.
Local bus service : a number of services from Wrexham’s King Street Bus Station run
past the Wrexham Maelor Hospital on their way out of Wrexham. Alight from the bus
at the firststop after passing over the level crossing. For buses passing the Hospital
and heading into Wrexham, alight by the Artificial Limb Centre. Bus times are also

Local taxi numbers : There is a taxi office just by the main entrance of the train
station and also a taxi rank adjacent to the bus station. Both train and bus station are a
five minute walk from the hospital
