LINFORD LION LOWDOWN
FROM THE PRINCIPALS
We appreciate your help in reading all labels for
items
that
may
contain
even
traces
of
peanuts/tree nuts or those that have been made
on shared equipment as peanuts/tree nuts.
These items should never be sent to school. If
you wish to bring in a classroom treat we ask that it
have a food label, ingredient list and the original
packaging to help the staff in checking the food item.
We highly encourage healthy treats such as fruits
and vegetables and/or prepackaged items. Thank

you for your help in providing a safe environment for
all children at Linford Elementary School. Please
call us anytime if you have any questions or need
peanut free treat ideas.

keeping all of our students safe.

2015-2016
Kicking Off Another Fabulous Year!
The 2015-2016 school year will be as exciting
as ever for our Linford Lions! Our teachers have
been hard at work learning about implementing
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math
(STEM) into their daily teaching. Students will be
learning about many different subjects throughout
the school year using the STEM learning model. We
are also fortunate to have Mrs. Jones as an
instructional facilitator this year to help our teachers
implement the STEM program.
The first week of school has been incredible!
Students seem happy and refreshed from their
exciting summer. They have all been learning about
the behavioral expectations we have at Linford and
have been practicing them as well. Last year our
student council kids created a video that
demonstrates appropriate behaviors as well as
“rejected behaviors” in all areas of our school. The
video is being reviewed in classrooms to ensure that
all students know the expectations and appropriate
behaviors in every area at school. Some of those
student council members are now considered
“movie stars” to the younger kids!
We hope you all had a wonderful summer!
It’s so fun to see students come back refreshed and
ready to learn every August. As always, we look
forward to working with all of our parents
throughout the school year. Please know that if there
is ever anything you need from us here at school, you
are always welcome to call or come in!
