We provide the widest possible variety of choice in UPVC door and window hardware, most of it available for same day collection at our trade counter or next day throughout the UK mainland. Our experience in both Aluminium and UPVC door and window industry in the UK, our customers benefit from a vast product knowledge base. We specialise in sourcing and supplying obsolete hardware or current hardware products which are the best possible replacement for obsolete items. With an eye on the latest British Standards and test requirements we are also able to advise on hardware specifications to meet the latest requirements for new or replacement hardware. MULTI-POINT LOCK IDENTIFICATION When trying to identify any multi-point lock, there are 2 main critical dimensions required. (Always measured in millimetres) PZ 1. The PZ dimension from the centre of the spindle (follower) hole to the centre of the top diameter of the lock cylinder (barrel) hole. (If there are 2 spindles always measure form the top spindle hole) Back Set 2. The ‘Back Set’ dimension. Measured from the front of the lock face plate to the centre of the spindle (follower) hole. If required, photocopy the opposite page and send the completed information to our fax line. Remember to include your details and a day time contact number. HARDWARE HANDING. When viewed from inside: A door hinged on the left, opening in (or hinged on the right opening out) is LEFT HAND. The earlier GU Europa lock was replaced in 2006 with the GU, G4 lock. The earlier lock is identified by a step in the top rear corner of the centre case. The G4 lock has a zinc die cast centre lock case. It is possible to interchange the newer G4 lock for the old Europa, however the centre striker will need to be fitted 12mm lower on the outer frame and if replacing a dead bolt lock, fit new dead bolt keeps to accept the thicker dead bolts used on the G4 lock. It is possible to interchange the newer G4 lock for the old Europa, however the centre striker will need to be fitted 12mm lower on the outer frame and if replacing a dead bolt lock, fit new dead bolt keeps to accept the thicker dead bolts used on the G4 lock.
