The Placement Cell is the nodal point of contact for companies to interact with
the students of St. Teresas College.
The following are the facilities to aid the process:
Auditoriums to conduct pre-placement talks and written tests.
Well furnished rooms and audio visual labs to conduct interviews and
group discussions.
Student volunteers to assist on the day of the visit.
Placement Cell of St.Teresas College is an institutional arrangement in the
campus primarily motivated to empower the student community by providing
oppurtunities to help them understand the requirements in global job market
scenario in and securing part-time and full time jobs.
Keeping in mind the recent trends in the industrial economy of India the Placement
Cell is in touch with some of the blue chip and first class companies in India in
particular Kerala and adjoining states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra
Pradesh, Maharashtra etc .
Companies seek the assistance of Placement Cell for part-time and full time jobs.
Companies come to our campus for direct campus recruitment. To name a few:
Infosys Technologies Ltd, Wipro Technologies, TATA Consultancy Services Ltd,
Cognizant Technology solutions, Google Inc, and so on. Hundreds of our students
have benefited from the companies.
The placement cell also disseminates information regarding the availability of jobs
through brochures periodically received from various companies. Hundreds of
students have benefited out of the sources as well. In the last academic year and
Placement Cell of St.Teresas College provided jobs for more than 60 students.
The data-base of our final year students are maintained and it plays a crucial role in
providing information on job oppurtunities for our alumni.
Objectives of the Placement Cell are :
 To act as a nodal point of contact for companies to
interact with the students and to assist the students in
securing jobs.
 To provide a platform for the students to understand
requirements and the changing trends so that they are
well equipped to launch themselves in the global job
market .
 To assist the college in generating awareness amongst
students about the various opportunities present for
them to explore.
The Placement cell is headed by the Principal, Dr. Sr. Teresa and the Staff Coordinators for the year 2011-2012 are

2) Elizabeth Abraham (Sociology Department)
3) Vijil K B (Economics Department).
The student representatives are Poonam Yadav from III DC Maths and Anna
Rajan Thaliath from III DC Economics .
The target group of the Placement cell are the final year graduate and Post
graduate students.
 On August 5th ,2011 Google India conducted a recruitment drive for the
post of ad-words associate and account planner at their Gurgaon and
Hydrebad branches . Two officials from Google Hydrebad conducted a
powerpoint presentation and interacted with the students for about one hour.
On behalf of Google India , Meritech Bangalore conducted the first phase of
the recruitment process. 196 students participated in the written examination
which was intended to test the communication, logical and reasoning ability
of the students . Nine students were shortlisted and telephonic and g-talk
interviews were conducted and Anna Rajan Thaliath and Miriam
Mathews of final year Economics are finally selected (subject to
document verification and final procedures).
 On September 29th an EOI(Expression Of Interest) was signed by our
college as a confirmation to associate with KELTRON as part of the Keltron
bigleap Corporate Campus Connect Program (KBCCP).
 Teach For India is a nationwide movement of outstanding college graduates
and young professionals who teach full time in low income schools for two
years. To popularize the concept and to create an awareness about its
opportunities among graduates , Paulami Sen from Pune arrived at our
campus and conducted a presentation and addresses the final year students
on 15/12/2011.
EXL(Out Source Partners International) EXL is a leading provider of
Transformation and Outsourcing services to Global 1000 companies in
multiple industries including insurance, banking, financial services, utilities,
transportation and travel. On 6/1/2012 EXL conducted a recruitment drive
for B.Com final year students .
12 students were selected and offer letters have been provided.
 As part of the KBCCP (keltron big leap campus connect program) a
WIPRO recruitment drive was conducted at Morning Star college ,
Angamaly on 7/1/2012.
3 students from final year B.Sc Mathematics have been placed in WIPRO
WASE (WIPRO Academy of Software Excellence).
 Shreds Kerala organised a WIPRO recruitment drive at De Paul institue of
Science and Technology, Ankamaly on 21/1/2012.
5 students have been placed in WIPRO
 On 29/1/2012 ,13 students from Maths, Chemistry and B.Sc Computer
Applications attended the recruitment drive of Cognizant Technology
solutions at Amritha School of Arts and Sciences, Edappally.
One student from B.Sc Computer Applications has been placed in
Upcoming Events
 Online registration of Tata consultancy Services are going on for Science
Graduates. The interviews and test will be conducted online.
 On February 19th , 2012 Infosys will be conducting a recruitment drive at
Amritha School of Arts and Sciences, Edapally. 104 students have
 HP India recruitment drive on the 12th,19th,20th of February
