ABOUT US
Smidt Risk Resolve Services trading under the abbreviation “SRRS” is a
newly formed Risk Services Company that uniquely combines a specially
combined product and services package to mitigate and control risk in the
business space. The company was formed by Lourens Smidt a 20 year
veteran in the risk and security industry.
Lourens was formally involved in the establishment of companies such as
Sonqoba Security a multi-disciplined security concern with an unmatched
record for safety in the bulk cash management space. Lourens was also
involved with the acclaimed Empilweni Group and held positions such as
Business Development Manager and GM with the group over a thirteen
year period.
Recognising the need for a service provider that can truly
identify a customer’s risk and then develop an impenetrable
risk mitigation strategy and service and product portfolio to
deal with the risk is what moved founder to start this
company. It has become very clear that through the recent
years the risk of theft and robberies has escalated and
migrated away from the banking institutions and cash in
transit companies to retailors and other business
enterprises.
Addressing this epidemic has fallen onto the hands of the
individual shop and business owner, risk management not
being their core function or skill base leaves many
businesses victim to crime, shortages and fraud.
Companies need a strong arm that has the skill,
solutions and experience to combat this problem.
SRRS is truly positioned to do just that.
OWNERSHIP AND ASSOCIATIONS

Smidt Risk Resolve Service trading as SRRS was
founded and co-funded by Lourens Smidt. An Equity
investment was made by another shareholder to the value of
35% of the shares, Lourens Smidt is holding 65% of the shares.
There is only one Director presently involved in the company and
that is Lourens Smidt.
SRRS is associated with Cash Connect and National Company
involved in the cash management space, the involvement comes in
the form of a Provincial Agency for Mpumalanga. Cash Connect does
not own any equity in SRRS.
SRRS is furthermore associated with JVN Engineering a Gauteng based
international provider of security doors, portable vaults and safe doors.
SRRS acts as an approved agent of JVN in Mpumalanga, Swaziland and
Mozambique.

NEWLY FORMED ASSOCIATIONS
SRRS has formed a Joint Venture (JV) with Softnet a local company that
has owns the controlling shares in camTrac a CCTV and Offsite
Monitoring brand.
As part of the JV, SRRS has taken over the management of the
monitoring and maintenance of the old company’s clients and will be
responsible for growing the business. There are no liabilities taken
over by SRRS in this venture. The monitoring capacity is hosed within
our own control room and all technical responsibilities are managed
by SRRS technical services.
The union between SRRS and Softnet strengthen both brands,
capacity and allows the synergies between the companies to form
a formidable and capable service provider solution in the
Electronic Surveillance, CCTV, Alarm Monitoring and Offsite
CCTV Monitoring and Process Management space.
The unified strengths propel both brands into a new and
dynamic arena where state of the art technology is
backed-up by leading physical security services.
PRODUCT AND SERVICE PORTFOLIO
Based on the risk profiling done by SRRS on small,
medium and large enterprises the following risk factors
have been identified continuously and thus formed the
basis for the company’s product portfolio:
 Ignorance to the physical risks involved in business in the
South African geography
 Non attentiveness to the crime statistics
 Poor financial planning to manage risk and security
 Ignorance to the emotional bank account
 Poor or even negligent cash management solutions for the

In addressing these factors, SRRS have evolved its own product DNA as
a defence against risk. This strand of risk combating product DNA is
engineered to mitigate the clients risk to such an extent that SRRS

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
The founders of SRRS has through its many years in the social
development and security industry, came to realise the intense need
people have for employment. Knowing that we can make a serious impact
on the level of security services provided by having a well-developed skills
transfer strategy in place, SRRS believes that it has a social responsibility
to employee as many former HDI’s as business growth allows us to do.
BEE STATUS and STRATEGY
SRRS is a newly formed company with associations at agency level
with amongst others Cash Connect a Level 3 BEE company. SRRS
has formed its own internal BEE strategy on both the employment
and equity participation level.
The company has set aside a total of 15% of its shares for
employment equity amongst select HDI employees that has
been involved with the company and has proven them as
worthy candidates.
This empowerment strategy will be
expedited as soon as the company has been in business for a
period of one year or as soon as worthy candidates have
been employed for an equal period.
