The chapel obtained its current design most likely in the 2nd half of the 15th century. The oldest parts are thought to date back to the 10th century. In 2006, the church received a new organ from the renowned organ builder Klais from Bonn. Physicians, nursing staff and famous patients have been buried at the Illenau Cemetery with its 100-year-old oak trees. Illenauer Allee, 77855 Achern Leopold Monument and Brunnen-Philipp on the Adlerplatz The Adlerplatz is the geographic center of Baden. As the center point the monument was built to honor the Grand Duke, Leopold von Baden. The well with its seated shepherd dates back to the anniversary of the date when the town received its charter in 1908. We are a place for all hikers to begin picturesque hikes in the Black Forest and in the Rhine meadows. Historians believe the church to possibly have been a Roman base. However, it cannot be excluded that the church was erected by the Franks. The building itself has been dated according to an inscription to the year 1417 A.D. Glaswaldsee: a cirque lake, untouched nature, 840 m, hiking area with a view into the Rhine Valley. 13 The high altar (most likely the cross altar of the Allerheiligen Monastery, the All Hallows picture was commissioned in 1756) as well as both side altars (Magdalene Altar, Prince of the Apostles’ Altar, already mentioned in 1657) in Baroque style. Together with the four than-life sized figures of St. Augustine, St. Norbert, St. Johannes and St. Joseph these beautiful pieces came in 1807 from the former Premonstratensian Allerheiligen Monastery to Bad Peterstal. Octagonal pump room from 1835. Several years before a newly discovered source of mineral water had been named “Sophienquelle” in honor of the Grand Duchess. The well temple built over it is the symbol of Bad Peterstal-Griesbach to this day. More than 100-year-old wateroperated and fully functional hammer mill in a building that has been around for least 300 years. Geiserschmiede Museum Recreation and Sport Center Mehliskopf Traditional tools and costumes show village life from years long past. High above the City of Bühl lies the ruin of the Windeck Castle, which was built around 1200 A.D. by the lords of Windeck. This place offers a panoramic view of the Rhine Valley. Kappelwindeckstr. 104, 77815 Bühl-Kappelwindeck The 3km-long forest adventure trail provides interesting facts at different stations about the forest and its inhabitants. Bremen In the immediate vicinity to the longest ski-run of the northern region of the Black Forest there is an approximately 1,000m-long year-round bobsled run and the climbing park with 7 obstacle courses between 3 and 14 meters in height. Rohrhirschmühle The 10-meter high look-out tower that is located in the middle of a vast scene of vineyards and which offers a panoramic view was built in 1902 to honor the Grand Duke Friedrich. The symbiosis between the modern annex and the historical town house is perfect. On two floors the visitor is provided with interesting facts about the history and development of the City of Bühl. Accessible to everyone Hiking starts at the hiking parking lot “Moosdohlen” in Durbach-Gebirg or "Mooswald" in Oberkirch-Ödsbach. 28 27 Adventure Golf New adventure golf course with 12 lanes as well as a put-put course directly at the Durbach outdoor pool facility. The facility has the landscape of a garden and was built with natural materials.
