FESTA ITALIANA has been a Sacramento destination on the first weekend of August for 31 years! It’s an open
air celebration of Italian culture, food, music, dance and all things Italian and Italian-American! If you’ve ever
wondered what it was like to attend a two-day Italian Wedding Feast, FESTA ITALIANA is about as close as it
gets! Each year thousands attend from all over the region to reconnect with their heritage. FESTA ITALIANA is
sponsored by the Italian Cultural Society, a local non-profit organization, and brings the very best of all things
Italian to Sacramento!
Unlike other Italian celebrations in the area, FESTA ITALIANA uniquely offers two full days of entertainment by
Italian bands, singers and musicians plus traditional, colorful Italian Folk Dancer performances. Our huge indoor
and outdoor Marketplace boasts dozens of the best vendors selling their wares. The grilled sausage and pepper
sandwiches are as good as they smell, and so is the lasagna, cannoli, calamari, pizza and meatballs! Don’t forget
to enjoy the special Italian wines and beer, and be sure to try some gelato for dessert. Enjoy the classic Italian
Cars and even learn an Italian Folk Dance!
The whole family can enjoy FESTA ITALIANA! Free craft booths and face-painting are available for children in
the Outdoor Piazza which also features Bocce Ball, a bounce house, mini golf and even a salami toss! Sit under
our shady tents at tables and chairs to rest, eat, and enjoy the ongoing Italian entertainment!

OUTDOOR PIAZZA CHILDREN’S PLAY AREA
Children have a place of their own in our piazza, starting with free craft tables and face painting, sponsored
by the Italian Cultural Society. Enjoy playing Salami Toss, Bounce House, Mini Golf and Trevi Fountain photo area!
FESTA QUEEN PAGEANT
A special and unique pageant where young women of Italian descent are invited to compete for the prestigious
“Festa Queen!” Finalists are given gift bags and the Queen wins a $1000 and the opportunity to be
Ambassador for the Italian Community for the coming year.
BOCCE BALL
Enjoy Bocce games under the shade in the Outdoor Piazza! Join in on the fun and even learn to play - everyone
and all levels welcome.
ITALIAN ENTERTAINMENT
The Italian entertainment lined up on Festa’s Center Stage for two days will have you dancing and singing along
to many of your favorite tunes! This years’ headliners include popular singing sensation MORENO FRUZZETTI of
Pisa, and ITALICA of San Francisco.
SATURDAY NIGHT DANCING UNDER THE SUMMER MOON!
Come for the day and stay into the night for dancing under the summer moon! You can’t help but move your feet to
the sounds of Italica, Ancora, and Moreno Fruzzetti during this magical family evening under the stars! Enjoy all the
musical entertainment during the day Saturday and Sunday if you can’t stay...
ITALIAN FOLK DANCERS
Rounding out Festa entertainment are the popular ICS (Italian Cultural Society) Italian Folk Dance troupes.
The adult Balliamo Dancers excite the audience with regional costumes and lively tarantellas! The Bambini Dancers,
the children’s folk dance troupe, features children of various ages dancing traditional Italian folk-dances in their
colorful, hand-made regional costumes!
