The Right Surgical Care, Right Here on the Outer Banks
The Outer Banks Hospital is
Nose, and Throat Surgery, with Plastic
Surgery coming soon. If you’ve been
thinking about taking care of that
aching hip or knee; fixing those female
problems that are so common during
menopause; repairing a hernia, or just a
little nip and tuck, shop local first. We’ve
got some of the most experienced
physicians and state-of-the-art facilities
you will find anywhere. Only difference
is, it’s all here, right at your fingertips
without the added expense or hassle
of traveling elsewhere.
committed to meeting the needs of
our community. Before the hospital
was built, some young families were
reluctant to move here and most
retirees looked elsewhere for a place
with greater access to healthcare
services.
This isn’t the case anymore. More
and more young families and retires
are making their home here because
of all our community has to offer.
The Outer Banks off-season is now
almost extinct and the caring and
giving nature of the locals is a yearround standard. From excellence
in education to access to needed
healthcare, the Outer Banks is a place
we are proud to call home.
The Outer Banks Hospital has worked
hard over the past five years to grow
your community hospital from a place
that provides emergency care and
delivers babies, to be the local leader
in healthcare; making the care you
need available right here.
The new 700 sq. ft. OR at The Outer Banks Hospital offers space that easily
accommodates equipment for surgeries such as anterior approach hip
replacement. Booms suspended from the ceiling allow 360 degree swivel
capability for large HD monitors and outlets for cord-free floors. The LED
surgical lighting is shadow free and cool to the touch.
We’ve added bone density testing,
sleep studies, 3D mammography, two
urgent care centers and so much more.
This month, we will open our fourth
operating room to continue to provide
the right surgical care, right here.
One of our best kept secrets is that
The Outer Banks Hospital has nine full
time surgeons to meet your surgical
needs. Our surgical specialties include
Orthopedic Surgery, Gynecologic
Surgery, General Surgery and now Ear,
