Class observation
Discounted prices are available for students with Hungarian student card and for teachers with Hungarian teacher card / or with
teacher status certification from Hungarian private schools. Please send your enquiry to [email protected]
In special cases reductions might be granted. Include your request to the application with detailed explanation why you ask for
reduction.
It is possible to apply
 for full course
 for half course – for the 1st week or the 2nd week
Tuition fee = registration fee + fee of subject(s)
If you apply for one week, you have to pay: registration fee + 50 % of the total price of the compulsory
and optional subjects (except for one-week-courses, where we have indicated the price valid for 1 week).
Classes are held from Monday to Saturday, starting at 8.30.
Classes are launched with a minimum of 10 participants (any exceptions are to be decided by the
organizers).
ACTIVE PARTICIPATION WITH LESSON TICKET
Without previous registration it is possible to take part in the classical ballet, Graham, modern dance,
contemporary dance and stretch and strength classes with lesson tickets. (In this case we can not
guarantee that the participant will be evaluated to the class of her/his age and/or previous dance
education.)
The schedule will be available after June 20, 2017 on our website.

HDA students receive 50% off of the lesson ticket prices (for a max. of 3 classes/week).

BOARD AND LODGING (we DO NOT offer accommodation WITHOUT meals)
Participants can be accommodated within the campus grounds, in the Academy’s dormitory

Fee of accommodation and meals:
It is possible to order accommodation with two or three meals per day:
For two weeks: board with 3 meals per day:

Please, indicate on the application form if the main meal should be lunch or dinner. Please note that our
kitchen can take care of only normal or vegetarian meals. Special diet options (e.g. in case of food allergy)
can be ordered individually. Please contact us for such food service provider contacts.
We can offer lunch for the participants not staying in the dormitory, but it has to be preordered.
Only lunch:
for two weeks: 120 EUR;
for only one week: 60 EUR
All orders must be indicated clearly on the application form and be paid by June 20, 2017!
We can not take into consideration orders arriving later than this date or any post-resignations.
Please, send an inquiry to the course organizers regarding details for accommodation and meals for
accompanying person, family member or teacher, or in case of early arrival (August 5) or late departure
(August 20) due to travel arrangements.
CANCELLATION AND REFUND
If circumstances make it impossible for you to attend, cancellation should be sent to us in written form,
latest by June 20, 2017. In case of late arrival or early departure there is no refund of tuition fee.
Partial refund is possible when presenting a medical certificate concerning injury/illness that occurred
before/during the course. In the event of such withdrawal from the course, refund will depend on
unspent part of fees.
HEALTH INSURANCE



All participants must take out full, comprehensive health insurance for the whole period of the
summer course including the time spent travelling to and from the course. The insurance shall be
sufficient to cover any and all circumstances that may arise from participating at HDA’s 29th
International Summer Dance Course.
European Union citizens are also asked to bring their European Health Insurance Card.
The HDA will not be held responsible for any damage or injury, however caused, to any person
attending the course, nor for the loss of any property. The organizers must be advised if a
candidate has any health problems or allergies, and provide a doctors letter specifying anything
we should be aware of in relation to the condition.The HDA will not be held responsible for any
candidate carrying an injury sustained prior to attending the course. Any dancer who does not
appear to have adequate dance training may be asked to join a slower class for his or her own
safety, as well as the safety of other dancers.

FURTHER REGULATIONS








Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements. Candidates requesting alternative
accommodation are responsible for arranging the accommodation of their choice for the duration
of the course.
A minimum number of students is required for courses and classes to be launched. Courses may
be cancelled should they fail to attract a viable number of candidates. Full refunds will be made in
these circumstances.
We reserve the right to cancel the courses or classes from the programme in the case of accident,
illness or any other reason beyond our reasonable control. Full refunds will be made in these
circumstances.
All candidates must bring dance practice wear and female candidates wishing to do pointe-work
are expected to bring their own pointe shoes. There is no special dress code at the course, but the
candidates are asked to bring solid colored outfits, no harsh colors please. Girls have to pin up
their hair so that the line of the forehead and neck will be visible. No hanging earrings or jewels
are allowed at classes.
It is strictly forbidden to enter the studios in outdoor shoes.
It is strictly forbidden to smoke or to consume alcohol on the whole territory (including dormitory
rooms) of the academy.
Candidates must comply with all policies, rules and regulations made by us for the safe, efficient
and orderly running of the programme.
HDA reserved the right to require you to withdraw from the course if you are in serious breach of
any of the course regulations.
