Representation of China in the World Health Organization
The Twenty-fifth World Health Assembly,
Recalling the United Nations General Assembly resolution 2758 (XXVI) of 25 October 1971 by which
it decided to restore all its rights to the People's Republic of China and to recognize the representatives of its
Government as the only legitimate representatives of China to the United Nations and to expel forthwith
the representatives of Chiang Kai-Shek from the place which they unlawfully occupied at the United Nations
and in all organizations related to it;
Noting that the Executive Board, in its resolution EB49.R37, has recommended to the World Health
Assembly that it recognize the Government of the People's Republic of China as the only Government
having the right to represent China in the World Health Organization,
DECIDES to restore all its rights to the People's Republic of China and to recognize the representatives
of its Government as the only legitimate representatives of China to the World Health Organization, and to
expel forthwith the representatives of Chiang Kai-Shek from the place which they unlawfully occupy at the
World Health Organization.
