YARN CATALOG 2015 CARRADE SKINNY TANK Shown in Dark Grey Skinny Wool Beauty, Creativity, Resourcefulness Be Sweet, a company with a conscience, was founded on the principle of being kind to others. It’s mission: to bring socially and environmentally friendly products to fashionable consumers, that evoke an individual style and help support community development around the world. Be Sweet works with several job creation programs in developing countries who give artisans the confidence and the means to support themselves and their families in an otherwise economically depressed region. The programs in South Africa have grown to include over 200 crafters, mostly female members of the Xhosa Tribe who live in the Western and Eastern Cape regions. Program participants are responsible for making accessories, home goods, jewelry and yarns. Many of the women depend on the job creation program for their survival. With the help of experienced program directors, the women are able to work in stable environments where they can earn a fair wage, learn a new skill and enjoy their jobs. Be Sweet began with wholesaling a handful of handmade items from South Africa to boutiques in the United States. Be Sweet’s specialty yarns, beautiful wearable accessories and unique home goods can now be found in over 300 boutiques in the USA, Canada, Europe and Japan. • Yarns are uniquely hand produced and measured by weight and may vary in length. • Gauge and needle sizes listed for each yarn are recommendations. • Hand wash most yarns in cold water using mild soap. • Color accuracy is not guaranteed printed or online.
